Agent Provocateur Revs Up Their Press Engine With New Bridal Line

May 22, 2008 by Rene

Subtlety isn’t part of the corporate handbook at Agent Provocateur. They are launching a new wedding line and simultaneously creating their own manufactured controversy by promoting a “discussion” about the institution of marriage.

Is the institution of marriage controlled by religion and the state? Agent Provocateur suggests that the institution of marriage is controlled by religion and state. We believe that the individual should have the power to define what marriage means to them.

If you are so moved, you can join the “discussion” at the all new AP Forums. As with nearly every collection launch, AP has covered more bases than most companies know exist. You can find new screen savers, new wallpapers, new gallery, and new mini films from the AP press machine. You can become immersed in the AP bridal launch. Consistent with many of the recent AP launches, Kate Moss is at the center of this campaign.

In addition to their dense multimedia campaign, AP unleashed a real world debut of the collection at the Life Ball in Vienna. The Life Ball was started in 1993 in Vienna as an AIDS charity event and quickly became the biggest, most colorful, and most successful event of its sort in Europe. The goal is to raise money for various AIDS related activities. This year Joseph Corré brought his own circus to the show with models, the bridal collection, and his own list of celebrities. The ball was 17th May and the site Javno has some of the best coverage. Visit Javno for more pictures. These pictures are from the site and were taken by Siniša Bužan.

Lingerie in Politics?

April 1, 2008 by Brenda

soho storefront fair trade my arseWhile I personally prefer not to write about political issues publicly, I found the fact, that lingerie has managed to become embroiled in the heated dispute about secret prisons, very odd indeed.

Joe Corre, son of fashion industry icon Vivienne Westwood and co-founder of Agent Provocateur, has regularly taken stands against war, the establishment and political agendas in general. His recent design created in support of Reprieve, the human rights organization and Corre’s own Humanade, were presented by his mother while showing her Red Label Fall/Winter 2008 Collection. The bright orange panties wear the slogan and powerful message “Fair Trade My Arse”.

Because the panties were made in direct objection to the prisons around the world who practice human rights violations, the bright orange was chosen symbolizing the prison jumpsuits worn by inmates. The panties will be sold in Agent Provocateur stores in the US and the UK.

Known for his outspoken actions, in 2007, Joe Corre, rejected the prestigious MBE Award (Members of the Most Honorable Order of the British Empire).

Peep in Paris with Agent Provocateur

March 29, 2008 by Mandolina

Peep in Paris Agent Provocateur ScreenshotAgent Provocateur has always worked hard to be a little more than just a lingerie label. Even on their website, they’ve spent a lot of time (and money, I’m sure!) to create a real buzz around their brand and every once in a while they’ll add something special to attract some more attention… Well, it seems to be working as we’re blogging about it — so way to go AP! 😀

Found this game through Eve’s Apple where Gayvin says: “Through the binoculars, you gaze through various apartment windows when they open. Click on the series of open windows and you’ll progress to the next level. Hit the “z” key to give her a little spank and you’ll earn bonus points.”

Intriguing! 😀

Play the game right here!

PS. I’m really bad at this. Have tried 4 times and never managed to get to level 4. Meh! 🙁

Accessories for the Boudoir – Masks and Blindfolds

March 28, 2008 by Rene

The most common accessory for the boudoir is probably stockings to go with a suspender belt, followed by an elegant necklace, or some killer shoes. However, the mask may be the perfect complement to go with a special lingerie outfit. Often lingerie is about what it covers up rather than what it reveals and the mask is an extension of that fantasy. Masks and blindfolds are increasingly popular. Spoylt offers many blindfolds and likes to consider the blindfold as a dual purpose tool. First, it is blindfold, but turn it around, and it makes a lovely belt too. The Envy Robe is 50% off of the regular $395 price. That could be an expensive blindfold, but it does come with a lovely robe. The Innocence blindfold appears to be a padded blindfold with a long sash. Spoylt even shows it working overtime as a belt for your jeans.

Agent Provocateur can always be counted on for the cheekiest of boudoir accessories and they have their own spin on the blindfold. The picture will have to speak a thousand words in this case, but you can pick up this mask for $85.

If you like the idea of a mask (visible eyes) instead of just a blindfold, Three Wishes offers masks that range from $10 to $120. This is the Rocolo Mask. It is handcrafted with delicate sequence detail on the mask with elaborate hanging beads at the top of the mask, and a full crown bead detail for the bottom of the mask.

Madame Khufu hand crafts all masks in leather. These creations often extend into wispy tentacles and saucy horn shapes. Pictures below are the Medusa, Notorious, and Deep Roller. They range in price from $40 to $90. Madame Khufu is an artisan accessories shop and you can visit their site for more masks.
