Apparel Company Dana-Co Unveils Plans to Launch Natori Intimates & Skarlett Blue Internationally

Dana-co, LLC, a leading lingerie and apparel company, the holder of Natori Brand Lingerie Licensee and its in-house brand Skarlett Blue, announced its expansion into the international market.

Natori IntimatesThe first step towards this expansion is the appointment of Denise Shepherd as Director of International Sales. Dana-co has outlined plans for expansion in strategic markets including the UK as part of their International expansion drive.

“Expanding both brands internationally was the next logical step for growth,” says Zvi Ertel President / CEO at Dana-co. “We have distinguished ourselves creating brands that are dedicated to the consumer and driven by design. We are excited to launch our brands in the international market and establish them globally.”

Denise Shepherd, former Global Sales Director at Panache Ltd and previously Managing Director at Escada UK, has been appointed as Director of International Sales at Dana-co, starting from April 12, 2021.

“I am so very excited at this opportunity to join the passionate team at Dana-co,” said Denise Shepherd. “I’m looking forward to launching Natori and Skarlett Blue into international markets and for women across the world to experience the innovative design and dedication to comfort that both brands offer, which have been essential to both Natori and Skarlett Blue’s success in the American market.”

Dana-co is the exclusive license holder for Natori brand in the U.S. and Europe in the categories of bras, panties, daywear, shapewear, and corsetry. Dana-co re-launched the Natori Intimates category in 2004.

Hunkemöller launches lingerie collection with supermodel Duckie Thot

Hunkemöller collaborates with model Duckie Thot on a new lingerie collection, emphasizing the power of diversity and continuing the brand’s journey towards greater inclusivity. The brand joins forces with South Sudanese-Australian top model Duckie Thot within a daring lingerie collection focused on uniqueness, self-reliance and the strength of women worldwide.

After the partnership started in July 2019, the partnership became even more relevant in 2020 as the Black Lives Matter movement, which Duckie herself is very passionate about (as are we here at The Lingerie Post!), gained momentum. As a dark woman working in the fashion industry, Duckie offers a unique and valuable perspective on how Hunkemöller can challenge itself and achieve more with its inclusion strategy. The brand wants to encourage women of all skin tones to embrace themselves and live life confidently. Something that should certainly succeed with this colorful collection.

In addition to the creative collaboration, Duckie Thot provided ideas for both the campaign and the marketing strategy of the collection. Part of this is a paid influencer campaign featuring black women, as well as an appeal to customers to donate to ENAR (European Network Against Racism). This charity was selected in consultation with the top model; ENAR’s work focuses on smaller organizations, which are close to Hunkemöller’s core values ??of inclusivity, especially when it comes to women.

Another initiative to promote diversity within Hunkemöller is an Inclusivity Workgroup dedicated to empowering women of all ethnicities, body shapes and skill levels within the organization and in how the company presents itself to the world.

Like Duckie, the collection created in collaboration with her is daring, sexy and self-assured. The silhouette is youthful; from bralettes, high-waisted briefs to bodies. The colorful palette of neon pink and black is accented with modern embroidery and graphic lace. The campaign video and photography, shot in the studio in London, is Hunkemöller’s most daring and creative content ever. On a neon-lit stage with bold shapes reflecting the collection, Duckie emphasizes her ‘Rules for World-Changing Women’. They include: Create your own rhythm and keep following it, empower yourself and you will inspire many and being sexy is a state of mind. She closes with the powerful statement: “I’m not different, I’m unique.”

Emma Harris’ new Autumn-Winter 2020 Collection

Emma Harris has her own luxury lingerie atelier and designs and produces hand-made artisan lingerie and loungewear in the UK for quite a few high-end brands. She has her own brand too and her key USP is that everything is hand-produced using the most complex, painstaking techniques that result in a very high quality, lifelong garment and this comes in a wide size range (28-36, A-FF).

Emma Harris AW2020Emma Harris’ new AW20 collection is out and features an absolutely stunning new range, MELODY; a new colour in last season’s best-selling CLEO, which will be added in a gorgeous garnet shade with antique gold lace, plus the option of Cleo in red as a special order.

Inspired by Old Hollywood, Melody features a unique diamond design, reflective of this period which is echoed throughout the collection. Fashioned in French lace, specially selected for its vintage look and featuring newly designed shoulder straps for an elegant and sleek look at the back, Melody boasts a robe, slip, camisole, short, pyjama bottom, bra, brief and thong.
