Here’s a quick video of the new TV Spot from Passionata. The man behind this is none other than David LaChapelle, whose work we saw before with the Smart & Sexy photos. Enjoy!

Photographer Brett Florens was kind enough to put a video montage of the 2007 Playtex Catalogue photoshoot he did on Youtube. We like it, so we share it.

Smart & Sexy is a brand new lingerie brand dedicated to bringing women “affordable luxury,” and making a difference while they do it. Coming from the same manufacturer of other popular lingerie brands (like Badgley Mischka), this line offers fun and sexy style for the woman on a budget. There are three collections: the VIP collection (French maid-inspired), the Lace Ambition collection (color-saturated lace), and the Sexy Sets collection (neon stretch satin). US readers will be seeing the Spring 2008 ad campaign in your favorite fashion mags. It was shot by popular fashion photographer David LaChapelle (watch out for more from him soon), and depicts powerful women in board rooms and offices (with men in the background cleaning up and pouring coffee for them).
The website is chock-full of goodies like e-cards, desktop wallpapers, and screensavers (I wouldn’t suggest putting these on your office computer!), as well as a store locator and an online-only range of boyshorts and t-shirts. Of course I have a soft spot for any company that is concerned about the environment, and Smart & Sexy is doing their part by making a donation to an environmental organization for every green-colored garment they sell. Additionally, a portion of the purchase price from every Smart & Sexy garment will be donated to The Women’s Alliance, helping low-income women get the tools they need to find a successful career. And the best part? All of these lingerie pieces are under $20!

We’ve mentioned the Brazilian label Belabumbum on TLP before, but we’ve never really had a serious feature of their pretty and luxurious lingerie on here before. Thanks to NY-based Photographer Alex Solmssen of FotonovaNYC (She does all the Belabumbum photography, and is actually very much interested in doing more lingerie work!) we now have a whole series of beautiful photos of their newest Spring/Summer 2008 lingerie collection.
Like I said, photos by Alexandra Solmssen, model is Cassie Colvin — lingerie by Belabumbum.

Bebaroque was launched last season in July 2007 by Chloe Patience & Mhairi McNicol — and now that their pieces made it into the first online boutiques just a couple months after starting the label — it’s time for us to take a look at their legwear, and show you where to shop online! 🙂
The story: “Both Chloe and Mhairi separately began designing leg wear and decided to join forces, creating something very special and unique to the market. With Mhairi’s elaborate hand embroidery and Chloe’s intricate drawing skills upon hosiery, a truly innovative design process was developed.” [source]. All their pieces are hand-embroidered and -printed, and you’ll be amazed by the level of detail the legwear displays. People will notice your tights. I guarantee it.
I mentioned online shopping — but it’s still quite limited, especially for US-readers. You can order from Madame Gigi’s and The Shop Floor Project. That’s it, for now! More info on the label is on their pretty homepage located at bebaroque.co.uk.
