We’ve had the Christies Lingerie Spring Summer 08 collection on TLP a couple weeks ago, and today we’ve got their latest swimwear collection too. 🙂

Wildblue Swimwear
Wildblue is a young swimwear label designed by Alejandra Castillo, and focusing on high-end costumers looking for luxurious designs and fabrics. The fabrics, quality of the garments, and impeccable attention to detail are what make the pieces so popular. Wildblue has adopted the philosophy that “swimwear is not just something you swim in but it is a venue to display your sense of fashion and for self expression”. We at TLP obviously support that philosophy! 😉
According to the designer — these are not just swimsuits, they are a fashion statement. wildblues collections greatly utilize animal prints, and metallics as a foundation. Alejandra enjoys utilizing animal print and metallics as she believes these prints speak to a womans inner being and reflect their inner strength and instinctual fierceness.
Wildblue swimwear recognizes that while the look of a bathing suit is important, fit is even more important. Alejandra Castillo strives to balance fit and design in all of her designs.
The 2008 Collection features one-pieces, bikinis and (the ever so popular) monokini. Accesories range from coconut shell details to rhinestones making the 2008 collection an entire venue of fashion and self expression at the beach.
Wildblue swimwear is available in high end boutiques all over the US, USVI & Asia. Get Wildblue Swimwear online at www.wildblueswimwear.com.
Miss Bikini 2008 Swimwear Catwalk
This runway show dates back a couple months but we’ve only gotten the high resolution images today.
According to Beachwear.cc “This is a limited edition collection of bikinis, as well as cocktail dresses, created by the design team of Alessandra and Francesca Piancentini for the Fashion For Relief Association, which is a charitable organization that Naomi Campbell founded in 2005. The Organizations benefits this year will be given to flood victims in the UK.”
Lavit Lingerie
Lavit is a new lingerie label we’ve only discovered a couple weeks ago — but in order to be able to give you a good introduction, we had a little chat with the ladies behind this new brand to give you an inside view…
The concept behind our line was to create something sexy and beautiful yet comfortable and practical. We want every woman who wears our line to feel beautiful from the inside out. We have created designs that are very imaginative and sexy, using the best products and our fabrics are hand picked in Europe… We are three sisters that were born and raised in Mexico City. We have been living in the United States since 1983. Like many foreigners, we are trying to live the American dream. As you know, there is nothing harder than quitting your job to pursue your dream. But that is exactly what we did. To us, the American dream was to open our own business. So we all quit our jobs and worked really hard to develop a beautiful line of lingerie.
The lingerie bug bit the Baril family a couple generations ago already, too: “The idea came to us from our grandfather. He was an amazing man, he escaped from a concentration camp during WWII and ended up in Paris, France. At that time he started cutting lingerie in his mother’s kitchen and would sell the lingerie to Galleries Lafayette. […] Our grandfather helped us create our vision and sadly passed away in October of 2003. We remember how the Rabbi mentioned in his eulogy how our grandfather was the one who brought color to the textile industry in Mexico.”
The Lavit-girls had a vision and a plan — but were still missing a name. “One day while keeping our grandmother company, we were writing down names and we were going crazy because nothing seemed right. All of the sudden, our grandmother (who by the way barely said much and was very soft spoken), said to us: “How about Lavit?” Imagine us, our mouths were wide open, when she continued saying… it’s a little bit of the three of you…. Laura, Vivi and Tina. We knew at that point we had our name. We continued full steam ahead developing our line. Sadly, our grandmother died on August 7, 2004 from a broken heart. She never got to see our line!”
All we have to say is — the lingerie looks great! My personal favorite is this frivolous set in the photo below — but that lime green set…….. haha! Shopping at any of these stores! More info and photos on lavitlingerie.com.
Claudie Song Swimwear
Here’s yet another label never before seen on The Lingerie Post — European swimwear designer Claudie Song, just added to the Nancy Meyer stocklist.
“Inspired by the art, colours and history of the Iberian Peninsula, the Claudie Song swimwear collection provides a breath of fresh air by integrating bright colors with unique, whimsical prints. Semiprecious stone detailing adds elements of luxury and fun — with a European flair”
Each of these pieces has a gem — and ideally transforms into a cocktail dress according to the Claudie Song website. I like the idea of couture swimwear — and I like the not-so-average feel of the collection.
