Ponta Brasil Bikinis

May 21, 2008 by Brenda

Located in South Brazil, Ponta Brasil Ltd., a newer beachwear company founded in 2000, has now made its 2008 collection available. Exporting most of its production, the company presently wholesales to larger distributors in South, Central and North America, Europe and Asia. They further plan to expand their operation by adding an online retail division where they will sell their brand internationally direct to end consumers. The total product line is swimwear, active wear, workout wear and general beachwear. And the 2008 collection is as sexy as one would expect from a Brazilian bikini company.

A marvelous animal print one piece suit sets the mood, as the new collection is unveiled. Complete coverage with plenty of fabric drawn up in the center with a silver rectangle, this suit is hot enough for any beautiful woman walking the beach. Other suits included in the collection are halter top bikinis, bandeau tops, tops with center adornments, and string side tie bottoms with jeweled motifs.

The other one piece in the collection, PB 1204-A, is one of the most striking bathing suits they offer as it is a unique design with three front rings and four pieces wrapped around the front of the body. And it looks great in skin tone, black or leafy print.

One of the most interesting traits of this label is the use of different prints together. Where one would normally see mix and match solid colours or solids on top or bottom with prints on top or bottom, the PB 1211-A bikini is a black and white print flower bandeau top with white stripes on back bottoms with big red ties on the side

Another example of the use of varied prints together is garment AC 805, a pretty pastel coloured tank top, bikini string top and mini skirt with side slit tied with a black string. The tank top design is a very big version of the bottom squares and petals motif.

Other garments in the collection include

  • palazzo style pants in delicate greens mixed with orange and white in a leaf design,
  • a gorgeous silver lamé halter bikiini top with brief bottoms, and
  • pretty solid coloured bikini tops with print coloured bands under the breasts and matching print in the waist of the open side pants.

Ponta Brasil certainly sets itself apart from other bikini labels, as the line is fun with its varied prints but elegant in the design and use of those prints.

Wildblue is a young swimwear label designed by Alejandra Castillo, and focusing on high-end costumers looking for luxurious designs and fabrics. The fabrics, quality of the garments, and impeccable attention to detail are what make the pieces so popular. Wildblue has adopted the philosophy thatWildblue Ice and Iron Swimsuit “swimwear is not just something you swim in but it is a venue to display your sense of fashion and for self expression”. We at TLP obviously support that philosophy! 😉

According to the designer — these are not just swimsuits, they are a fashion statement. wildblues collections greatly utilize animal prints, and metallics as a foundation. Alejandra enjoys utilizing animal print and metallics as she believes these prints speak to a womans inner being and reflect their inner strength and instinctual fierceness.
