Wacoal

b.tempt’d from Wacoal

April 24, 2009 by Rene

TLP showed a little from b.tempt’d in February. Here is more news about the brand. It is a special offering from mega-brand Wacoal. It is aimed at a younger demographic with embellishments. The brand features a lot of skimpy knickers and sizes for 34AA to 36D. With Wacoal’s broad reach, this brand can be found at Macy’s in the US.

On the left is “The Flirt” with a push up bra for $45 and suspender knickers for $29. On the right is the “Demi Desire” with a demi contour brad for $40.00 and suspender thong for $20.00

On the left is the “Sheer Brilliance” in black, pink, or “naughty naked”. The push up bra is $43 and the thong is $19. On the right is the “Pretty and Witty” in baby blue or pink. The contour bra is $43 and the thong is $18.

B.tempt’d also offers plenty of knickers like these “Itsy Bitsy Thongs” in five colours for $12 a piece.

The “Teeny Weeny G-String” is in four colours and are $12.

Macy’s has many pieces from last season which may be going on sale soon. They are also running a promotion for a free knicker with purchases of b’tempt.d totaling $60 or more (probably a $12 value). Her Room also has a selection of b.tempt’d and offers some great closeups.

Pictures from this article are from the b.tempt’d web site.

Loincloths for Ladies by Wacoal

April 16, 2009 by Kelly

When lingerie shopping, you have a lot of styles as far as panty choices go. You can pick up g-strings, briefs, hipsters, french knickers, and so many other choices. There is one decision I never thought I’d have to make: thong or loincloth? Now that’s exactly the choice that many shoppers have as the Japanese company Wacoal (which is the same company that makes the Wacoal products you find in US department stores, according to Wikipedia) introduces women’s loincloths. Called “fundoshi” in Japan, loincloths are traditionally for men although they are rare in modern times. Kyoto-based Waocial, however, is intent on bringing them to women who seek “emancipation” from the tighter lingerie choices we are accustomed to. Tomoka Okamura, the merchandise director for Wacoal’s Nanafun female loincloths, says,

“We wanted young women to have a more sense of freedom and release. And as we tried to come up with the ultimate liberation item for women, we thought of a fundoshi.”

Hiromi Iwamura, a 28-year-old who recently bought a patterned set with the matching bra, says,

“It’s easy to wear and is quite nice. It’s also good for summer. And since it’s getting warmer, I figured it would be good for that.”

If you want to pick up your own, you can get them in seven colors and two designs for 1,260 yen (about $13). Over 5,000 have already been sold just since December, far outselling the company’s expectations. There are now plans to begin selling the loincloths in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.

Breast Cancer AwarenessA few weeks ago, we mentioned a number of different brands that were supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month by partnering with different Breast Cancer foundations.  I wanted to include a few more!

Lingerie Fit Expert is a website that makes recommendations for everyone from moms to brides-to-be.  I found the site while searching the Gal to Gal Virtual Walk site.  Gal to Gal is the charitable foundation associated with the fabulous Design-her-gals personalized stationery company.  Right now the Gal to Gal Foundation is “Walking for Wishes” to raise money for Stage IV breast cancer patients and their families.Wacoal Embrace Lace Bra  Lingerie Fit Expert is one of the sponsors of this amazing online event.
