Plaid, a pattern usually associated with kilts, lumberjacks, and grunge rockers, can now be found on…..lingerie? Just in time for cozy winter months ahead, this unexpected pattern is even hotter on push-up bras and garter belts from Jezebel, Victoria’s Secret, and Frederick’s of Hollywood. I have to admit, I’m surprised none of these brands took advantage of the obvious photo shoot idea of a lingerie model seducing a big burly mountain man. But these pictures are still pretty good, regardless. 😉

Lindsay Lohan shopping at Victoria’s Secret
Just a quick celeb blurb: Lindsay Lohan doesn’t just shop for coke (sorry, I had to!), she also likes her lingerie! We’ve seen her splurge on Honeydew, and last week she was spotted coming out of a Victoria’s Secret in Salt Lake City (Utah).
She looks good, by the way. She’s so pretty when she’s sober.

Victoria’s Secret New Reversible Bra
Victoria’s Secret seems to have stolen my idea. A few months ago, while window shopping in the store, I saw a Secret Embrace bra with a fun print on the inside. I thought it was pretty, but not as fun as if you could switch between the black exterior and the printed interior. I even played with it, flipping them around. Well, someone must have been spying on me in the store 😉 because Victoria’s Secret has now come out with a reversible bra! Most have prints on one side and a solid color on the other side, although a couple have solid colors on both. The straps are also convertible, so really you can wear this one bra four different ways!
I tried one on (well, a very ill-fitting one – Victoria’s Secret doesn’t carry my bra size, but I tried on the closest one available), and I have to say that it was really fun playing around with it in the dressing room! The reversing worked much better than I thought it would and the bra looks just as good either way. The matching panties are not reversible of course (although they do coordinate), so anyone who wants exactly matching sets might not have as much fun with it. Still, it’s an exciting new product. Victoria’s Secret always has something up its sleeve!
Be sure to visit our sales section for a coupon for $10 off and free panties when you buy any bra from the Very Sexy collection, including the reversible ones!
Full Coverage Uplift Bra
Victoria’s Secret has announced the introduction of what they claim to be the first full coverage bra with uplift. The bra has their popular Infinity Edge technology, designed to eliminate “visible bra line” and the stretch-to-fit design conforms to your body. Thank goodness for whoever came up with this idea – some women need full coverage and that certainly shouldn’t mean a sacrifice of sex appeal!
Of course, the bra-fitting fanatic in me cannot help but notice (and mention) that the bands on these models are riding up too high. Ladies, make sure your bands are parallel to the floor (or even a little bit lower in the back is good – it hoists you up!). If they ride up, go down a band size! I’ve definitely noticed that Victoria’s Secret models don’t show a well-fitting bra the majority of the time (not even close), nor have their associates correctly sized anyone I know who has gone in for a fitting at the chain. Frankly, it’s disappointing for such a large retailer. Sigh.
Victoria’s Secret can offer some great, trendy products at reasonable prices, but I wouldn’t advise anyone to go in there without having had a reputable fitting at a quality lingerie shop!
