Figleaves News – Clearance Site and New Line

October 18, 2008 by Kelly

Do you remember back in June when I told you about Figleaves UK‘s clearance site? It’s a great place to find closeout deals of up to 70% off discontinued or out-of-season styles for both men and women. Well, Figleaves US has finally jumped on the bandwagon and now has a similar clearance site! FigleavesClearance.com is the very same idea – a site chock full of only the best deals around. Of course, just like the UK site, you are not allowed to return items, and customer reviews aren’t available. The site is also a bit harder to navigate and search than the main site. But it’s worth the extra bit of work to get these great deals on Chantelle, Elle Macpherson, Mimi Holliday, Princess tam.tam., Fantasie, Aubade, Hanky Panky, and more!

Other big news is the recently-launched lingerie line named after the site! Currently only available on the US site, the Figleaves lingerie line consists of four bra styles (plunge push-up, lace balcony, t-shirt bra, and lace padded balcony) and three panty styles (boyshort, brief, and thong). Each style is available in multiple colors. The line is very affordable (bras are only $22-$27, panties only $10) and the size range is impressive (from 30A-38G!). All the reviews so far are only positive.

The line is only available on Figleaves US (of course). Be sure to check our sales page for information about discounts available on the Figleaves line as well as other deals to be had on Figleaves right now.

If you are in or around Manhattan Beach, CA this Saturday, you are invited to a trunk show! Lulu’s is hosting this event exclusively for The Little Bra Company on September 13. Freya Autumn/Winter 2008

August 28, 2008 by Kelly

In true Freya form, this year the Autumn/Winter collection resurrects a few best selling styles, introduces some new styles, and comes out on top with a couple that really take the spotlight.First, your favorites that are coming back! Antoinette, Arabella (a personal favorite – I own it in three color schemes already!), Darcey, Eleanor, Iona, and Rio are all back and have undergone quite the color makeovers to be ready for the colder seasons. Whereas they were perfectly light and sweet this spring, they are darker and sultry now to match the darker days ahead. There are some really dramatic and surprising color changes, so be sure to click on the thumbnails and see the more detailed photos!

But it’s the new designs that get me really excited. Mimi is gorgeously stunning in midnight black with dramatic pink, orange, and burgundy butterflies scattered across and all-over embroidery on the bottom cups. Pippa is a fun new style with a bold graphic print offset by muted colors. More funky prints can be found in the Matilda set, which steers clear of seeming too childish with French lace on the cups. Greta is at once mysterious and feminine, with cream rosettes on patterned black. Daisy combines polka dots and pale embroidery on a rich chocolate fabric, and nursing or expecting women can get a similar look from the tailored Dotty nursing bra. Cassie is especially pretty, combining pink flowers, sheer fuchsia net, and a dark green base which reminds me of a field of flowers!

Of course, as always, Freya has a wide range of sizes with band sizes starting at 28 and cup sizes running all the way to J! You can find a retailer on the Freya website, or order from the always popular Figleaves UK which already has a couple of the styles in stock. I’m sure Figleaves US will catch up soon!

Cosabella Goes “Green” for 25th Anniversary

July 20, 2008 by Kelly

Cosabella has just released a Fall 2008 Essentials Collection that will be a little kinder on the world. The new Eden Bamboo range is designed in a soft, luxurious blend of modal (made from the pulp of beech trees)Cosabella Eden and innovative bamboo fibers in natural colors like onion, carrot, ecru, radish, earth, and sage. The loungewear is simple but girly, with small ruffle details on the camisoles, babydolls, boxers, quarter sleeve top, thongs, and pants.

Other styles out for Fall 2008 are made of traditional fabricsand feature lingerie and sleepwear in bold colors, vintage-inspired laces, tattoo styling, and signature prints. For a bit of a flirtier touch, there is plenty of metallic embroidery, Swarovski diamontes, oversize florals, and shiny microfiber.

This is a great collection to celebrate Cosabella’s 25th anniversary! The company was founded in 1983 by Ugo and Valeria Compello. The company has headquarters in Miami, Florida, and the swimwear, apparel, hosiery, loungewear, and lingerie are manufactured in Italy. You can find Cosabella at Figleaves US and Chic Mystique, or use the store locator on the Cosabella website.
