We’re still seeing new Summer ’08 collections hit the shops but the labels are already way ahead of us, getting their 2009 lines ready for production… As a world premier, we’ve got photos of Huit’s Summer 2009 collection — as always looking absolutely fabuluxurious. 🙂
The retro inspired collection is designed with the fel of a country summer in mind. Discreet transparencies, combinations of light and comfortable fabrics in pale, pure or bright hues “to herald the season of stolen kisses”.
Baiser Volé
Baiser VolĂ© is French for Stolen Kisses — a floral set with tiny lace frills and a knit bow. Very glamorous!
Courant d’Air
A whiff of retro wafts on this line made of very refined Leavers ‘scale’ motif lace and stretch muslin. Small tulle frills and airy bows highlight the femininity of this light and comfortable set… This set comes with a gift bag in intense hot red for Valentine’s Day — I can’t wait! 🙂
Echappée Belle
Satin-stitched support fabric with woven hemstitching cut-outs and a small vintage satin rosette for a structured retro line with refined details. Comfortable, yet classy.
Heure d’EtĂ©
A micro modal lyrca and cotton/silk chiffon se, a subtle association of natural fibres and details — frilly shoulder straps and jabots; small mother-of-pearl buttons and bows on moduled shapes for extra comfort. Looks absolutely gorgeous and I can imagine quite a few summer brides looking absolutely gorgeous in this one! 🙂
Vertiges
Refined provocativeness for this graphic streamlined line in jacquard voile and leavers lace. The moulded shapes combine femininity and invisibility — a perfect and light summer set!
I’m impressed (as always) with this new Huit collection. We’ll obviously keep you posted about these pieces as they hit the shops, so make sure you keep your eye on TLP!
Catriona Mackechnie just put the vertiges collection on their website! I just bought it. So excited! http://www.catrionamackechnie.com
