Princesse Tam Tam founders killed in Mumbai

November 29, 2008 by Bert

On behalf of myself and the entire team here at The Lingerie Post, I would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Princesse Tam Tam owners Loumia Hiridjee and her husband Mourad Amarsy.

Blind violence leaves everyone with a sense of emptiness, and we were geniunly shocked by the news that Loumia and her husband were amongst the people killed in the Mumbai terrorist attacks. Hiridjee and her husband were dining at the Oberoi Trident hotel where they were shot and killed by terrorist forces.

we feel great emotion and deep sadness. Everyone knows Princessse-Tam-Tam. Everyone should think of these two innocent people who have worked to bring us joy, an example to follow and hope in our work. Their path was cut indiscriminately by terrorists. We can only think about their family and friends. Throughout the world, all those who have known themselves or their work will remember them.

Founded in 1986 by Loumia Hiridjee of France, the name Princesse Tam Tam pays homage to a film starring Josephine Baker, released in 1935, and directed by Edmond Greville. She was a free spirit in the days before women’s lib, a pioneer in the fight against prejudice

I’m so saddend by this! My heart goes out to their friends and family. Princesse Tam Tam has always been a favorite and the founders came across as such good hearted and talented people! They’ll be missed!
