Foxers: Boxers for Girls?!

September 5, 2007 by Krista

In our forums, we have been debating and discussing the menswear inspired, Foxers. Personally, I’m a fan of the menswear inspired collections that have been appearing. To me, there is something alluring about wearing something that looks like what he would wear, but designed to fit my curves. Foxers follow this trend by featuring a waistband that resembles that of men’s boxer shorts. Their mission is to provide “foxy” underwear options for women while retaining the comfort of men’s boxers.

I recently tried out both the Foxers Boy Shorts and B-strings.

Foxers Boy ShortsFoxer Bstring

Since boy shorts are summer staple for me, I tried those out first. They are very comfortable and easy to wear. I like the touch of lace around the leg band. That, along with the little bow along the band, provides a splash of femininity and playfulness. The boy shorts fit well under my jeans and, indeed, the slightest bit of the band poked out from the top. I also tried the B-string, which was also very comfortable to wear. The little buttons on the front add that sassy, girly touch. Both the boy shorts and bstrings come in a variety of colors and patterns so I’m sure you will find something you like.

Foxers According to the tag line, “they stick out.” That they do. Since it is only the boxer like band that shows, it’s a cute, fun alternative to Foxers Boy Shorthaving your “coin slot” or thong hanging out! While I am generally on the more conservative side and would rather have nothing show, I didn’t mind the band peeking out over the tops of my jeans. While I didn’t receive any extra attention or commentary from any strangers, who knows? It could become quite the conversation topic for you!

Foxer 7 Pack

Individual Boy Shorts and Bstrings retail at $20. The 3 pack is $54. If you are totally smitten, go for the 7 pack (one for each day!) at $120.

Foxers have a strong retail base in the Midwest, but the products are also available on their website. On this regularly updated site, you can also check out their Lace Boxers, Accessories, and New Arrivals. So check them out and decide for yourself. They have my stamp of approval. Let us know if they have yours in our forums.

I found out about Foxers not that long ago when I was on a sales trip in the Midwest. I work in the womens intimates industry for a woman designer and I thought I kept up with these things pretty well. One of the buyers I met with told me she wore them all the time and I now own a bunch of the boyshorts. I sleep in them exclusively usually pairing them with a comfy cami or T. From the men styled waistband with cute little bow to the lace leg opening they’re cute/practical and very sexy! I love how comfortable they are and all my girlfriends now own Foxers too.

I forgot to mention that I also own the lace boyshorts and tops. Those are only for SPECIAL sleepovers with my girlfriend!
