Thais Gusmão: Wonder Woman and Brazilian Lingerie

Thais Gusmão is the designer behind her eponymous brand in Brazil. Thais graduated from Anhembi Morumbi University and started her brand in 1996 selling handmade designs in alternative stores. Her first brand name store opened a couple of years later and her brand continued to grow. She added lingerie by the early 2000s.

Thais Gusmão has created several cooperative editions including designs for Barbie and Adidas. This year, to commemorate the international day of women, Gusmão created a special Wonder Woman collection with the cooperation of Warner Brothers. The Wonder Woman collection consists of robes, shirts, bras, and knickers using comic book reprints and pop art celebrating the American superhero.
