Boutique womenswear label East Village has branched out into loungewear this season offering beautiful silk kimonos featuring hand-embroidered flowers, birds and butterflies in Chinoiserie designs.

Each piece is made by hand including silk dying and intricate embroidery. The silk is deliciously soft and floats as you wear it – making for the ultimate in luxurious loungewear. The kimonos are designed to be versatile and can also be layered over jeans if you need to pop out to the shops. They’re beautiful not only as loungewear, but also hung on the back of a door or draped over an antique screen.

Maud and Marjorie Create Parisian Lingerie

Maud & Marjorie is a design shop in Paris it is also the name of the two women designers at the heart of the firm. The two met at ESMOD International Fashion University. When they began in 2005, they chose the less common way of focusing on their website first before a boutique or store. Four years later, this choice is common place with even more options like Etsy allowing hobbyists and enthusiasts to grow a business from even simpler beginnings. Both Maud and Marjorie are designers and they each design different parts of their brand. Marjorie created the “Haute Lingerie” line, while Marjorie created the “Beach Lingerie” line.

These pieces are created in very limited quantities or a bespoke service. The website doesn’t allow direct commerce, instead, they encourage the shopper to email.

Lascivious is one of those lingerie labels that does so much more than just designing beautiful lingerie. They’re a lifestyle brand in a way — and along with their new lingerie for Spring/Summer 2009, they’ve also launched a brand new website and…. a new deck of playing cards!

LASCIVIOUS Showgirls

Let’s start off with the lingerie. For SS09 the focus is on clean lines, strong silhouettes and a more directional fashion edge. Inspired by empowered, sexy women everywhere Lascivious designer Chloe Hamblen wanted to explore shape, structure and detail, with an emphasis on revealing and concealing with a modern twist. From the beautiful tulle and mink sophistication of The Elise collection through to the strong graphic lines and cut outs of the Lila collection There is a style and a statement for everyone.

The showgirls “Candy” body is now joined by our new “Sailorgirl” and “Mariette” collections. “Sailor girl” is a naughtical inspired collection featuring limited edition “tattoo” stockings by the artist Kev Grey and “naughtical ties,” whilst The beautiful “Mariette” collection features nude mesh, Black fringing and the ever popular “Tassel suspender.”

The new “LOVE” playing cards have been launched and along with the previous “LASCIVIOUS” deck, repackaged to make way for future additions.

Porzia T – Italian Luxury Lingerie

Porzia T was founded in September 2008 by Paola Tessariol, a young and talented fashion designer who, after gaining professional experience at some of the most prestigious Italian fashion houses, decided to accomplish her unique project by aiming to reinvent her idea of underwear combining the finest materials with a timeless luxury design.

A collection of lingerie and accessories inspired by Porzia, the famous character of William Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice. The designer “dedicates her creations to this ideal protagonist, as she embodies the contemporary women’s universe with her beauty, nobility, passion and pride.”

Porzia T means luxury temptations: getting spoiled by the luxury of garments dedicated to women’s senses and pleasure, to their desire to seduce by wearing precious and delicate fabrics that indulge the senses and take them into a dimension of sophisticated intimacy, a private and malicious limbo where luxury becomes a daily pleasure.

This first collection is called “Collezione Privata”, or Private Collection. The designer describes it as follows: “Dreams, emotions, rarefied atmospheres. A game of seduction where the key elements are satin, the tones of white, rose and black, as well as sparkling crystals that are applied like drops of jewels on the garments, which are all entirely lined with the purest silk to softly caress the body. A collection characterized by a distinctive mark: the wrinkled elastic band that creates ruched effects.”

Strings are introduced in three versions: a basic one, another one with triple band at the back and a more sophisticated model with double band at the hips figuring a bow with a coquette touch. Mini knickers as well are developed in different versions: basic or more sophisticated with five bands, front and back, for a seductive geometry of lines that dress the skin and leave it “undressed” at the same time. Satin shorts are must-haves, with rounded lines at the hips that follow the silhouette, thus transforming the garment into a light and fluttering fancy.

The range of bras unveils very chic models: triangle cups, ultra compact push-up bras and strapless corset bras. The latter is also interpreted in a sexier version, with bands reaching the neck from the breast and creating a collar-necklace in a can-can style.

For glamorous nights Porzia T offers a range of haute couture nightwear: corsets with bands and collar-necklace, laced up with a bow falling at the back; tops with bands, collar-necklace with a bow and a low-cut V back; soft baby-dolls with triangle cups, cut on the front to catch a glimpse of body and belly.

And for even more irresistible emotions Porzia T has created a refined “Pleasure Kit” containing soft handcuffs, ties to be worn as cuffs or as a collar, or for the hair or even as a garter, plus a satin embroidered blindfold. To complete the range of accessories a soft and delicate silk satin glove; another element of seduction, another way to indulge women’s luxury temptations.
