Keep Me Lingerie and Loungewear

December 19, 2008 by Rene

Ali Kay launched the first keepMe collection at Henri Bendel in NYC while she was an undergrad at Columbia studying Political Science. Anne des Barres began her career in fashion at Marc Jacobs International. She then spent time at Diane von Fustenberg. Anne and Ali have joined forces. They want to outfit women for their indoor-leisure life — at home, in a hotel, spa, dorm room, or yoga studio. Relocating to Malibu California, Ali and Anne have fallen in love with the laid-back luxury of Malibu.

Keep Me (online on keepme.com!) is a collection of the softest, most luxurious and refreshingly fashion-forward loungewear available in stores today. Keep Me offers the perfect wardrobe staples for great looks to change into when you want to be cozy, while still looking sexy and sophisticated: whether it is right when you get home from the office and you cannot wait to change out of your work clothing, when you’re ready to curl up in bed with a good book, to head to the gym or yoga studio, or even to run out for coffee.

The Trish Undie is made of modal and spandex. It is 35.20 and is available in cranberry, orange, skin, black, and white.

KeepMe Green Lisa Boxer Short is a new line featuring organic fabrics. This boxer is 100% Organic Cotton with wood buttons on a faux fly. It is $37.40.

The Betty Romper is made of modal and spandex. It is shown in mint, but is currently only in orange and black. It is $77.

The Anne Marie Nightie is 100% Modal in cranberry or black with an open tie in back. It is $81.40.

All of the Keep Me merchandise is manufactured in the United States, in a family owned and operated factory in downtown Los Angeles, about a forty minute drive from the Keep Me offices in Malibu, CA.

Cosabella Celebrates 25 Years!

May 17, 2008 by Krista

So, most of my recent Cosabella coverage has been about the coveted Sex and the City collection. However, perhaps even more notable, is that Cosabella is celebrating 25 years in the industry! Now that’s a reason to celebrate! In the past 25 years, the brand has evolved from providing bodysuits and its signature Soire thong to offering an extensive intimate apparel and swimwear brand. In honor of this remarkable occasion, the brand is launching the Valeria collection (in homage to president and founder, Valeria Campello designed by husband, Ugo Campello).

Cosabella Valeria

The Valeria collection is made of a delicate, black mesh with intricate, metallic silver embroidery. Fitting of a silver anniversary! Swarovski crystals adorn the fabric for a rich, opulent look. The balconette bra is quite a stunner! Pair with a g-string or bikini. Complete the look with the elegant and amazingly chic chiffon robe. And because this is such a monumental milestone, pieces from the collection will be embellished with a special hangtag signifying the anniversary.

Arriving in August, Valeria will be sold at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Bergdorf Goodman, and Henri Bendel among other department stores and boutiques nationwide.

Pfiff Trunk Show!

October 22, 2007 by Krista

Well, apparently last week was the week for women here in NYC! After attending the Shecky’s Girls Night Out on Monday, I attended the Bloomingdales Girls Night In event on Thursday night which featured a trunk show by the fabulous, fashion forward TLP favorite, Pfiff.

When I reached the 4th floor of the legendary department store, well known for its intimate apparel department, I entered into a world of pulsating, dance beats. Despite the torrential downpour outside, the event attracted a diverse crowd of ladies inside for an evening of tasty cocktails, yummy snacks, and of course, beautiful lingerie. Beauty department partners were also on hand to offer samples of lotions and perfumes as well as perform complimentary make up consultations. The event also featured a “Make Your Own Sachet” bar. The perfect little something for your drawer of little somethings!

Pfiff (pronounced “fiff”) is a versatile, stylish, and luxurious line that can be worn on a weekday as a pick me up, on a weekend night out as a confidence booster, or on any special evening. Pfiff has something for every woman and every mood. Each collection tells a story through elegant fabrics and exquisite details. While at the event, I was not only able to admire and drool over the luxurious Pfiff pieces (a few of which I have my eye on!), but also chat with the brain behind the business, Seleena Sidhu.

Pfiff Portrait of a LadyPfiff Portrait of a Lady

What is the origin of the name Pfiff?
Pfiff is a German word that means spunk. It’s an expressive word that means something different, unique.

How long has Pfiff been around?
6 years.

In your opinion, why does Pfiff stand out in the industry?
It echoes a lot of what we’ve been hearing this past year as we have grown. We are different in our design, fabric quality, and color story among our competitors. Also the design effort into each piece is more than you see with something mass produced.

You also stand out because of your support of Breast Cancer research. Could you tell me more about that?
It’s something we have done for about 2 years now. Breast cancer is something we’ve all experienced through others in our lives. It’s a very personal experience for everyone in our company to contribute.

How should a woman feel wearing Pfiff?
She should feel happy, inspired, empowered, intelligent. Not only is she buying something beautiful, but that makes sense for her every day life. The Pfiff woman is self-indulgent, but not over the top. She finds the right balance.

Where do you get your inspiration for the designs and the themes of the collections?
We are a fashion line so we use a lot of designer, runway trends. We reflect what’s current and upcoming. For instance, our spring and summer collections are bright and architectural in design. There is a common thread between the elements for a season to give an overall impact.

What is your favorite item in the current collection and why?
My favorite is the Natural Rapture bustier. It’s supportive, but sexy. It’s also versatile.

What item in the new collection would you choose for a bride to be that wants that wow factor for her honeymoon?
I’d choosePfiff Lavish Bouquet the Lavish Bouquet Flyaway Babydoll. Lavish Bouquet is one of our best sellers. In fact, Kate Walsh [Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice Addison] called us to order the Lavish Bouquet Brazilian tap pant and camisole as a bridal shower gift for Katherine Heigl [costar, Grey’s Izzie] (which was given this past weekend). (Find out about more stars who love Pfiff here!)

Where can our readers find Pfiff?
Pfiff can be found at Anthropologie, Henri Bendel, Dillard’s, Macy’s West,Pfiff Natural Rapture and HSN. Also online at Star Boudoir.

Many thanks to Seleena for sharing all this great information with us.

Okay ladies (and gentlemen purchasing for the ladies), be sure to explore the wonderful world of Pfiff and let us know all about it in our forums. Pay special attention to the Natural Rapture collection, my personal favorite. The detailing on the back of the panty is absolutely amazing. And according to Seleena, you can look great coming and going. My thoughts exactly. Enjoy!

Myla Lingerie – Beauty and the Bedroom

September 7, 2007 by Kelly

Myla, the seven-year-old luxury lingerie, accessory, and toy label, has been mentioned on The Lingerie Post before, but never featured. I’m changing that now! They have launched their first advertising campaign for the fall collection, called “Myla – Beauty and the Bedroom.” There are eight moody photographs for the campaign, taken by photographer Ben Hasset. The photographs showcase the Autumn/Winter 2007 collection on models relishing the collection while laying on a bed of luxurious black silk. Franceska Luther, Myla’s creative director, said of the collection:

For the autumn/winter shoot, we explored the concept of nostalgia, modern femininity, sophisticated sexuality and the irresistible desire for exquisite lingerie.

Enjoy the sneak peek of some campaign photos! In other news, the brand is expanding with Harvey Nichols and Henri Bendel beginning to stock the line this season. Myla will also be opening a second boutique in New York early next year.

Playful Promises Lingerie Spring/Summer 2008

August 6, 2007 by Mandolina

Just got word from Emma Benham about the Playful Promises Spring Summer 2008 lingerie collection, called Doll Face. As you may remember from back in April, I’m a big fan of the Playful Promises lingerie, and these pieces just confirm my beliefs: PP is in the top-5 of my favorite brands — and will remain there at least for 12 more months. 😉

Obviously I got my hands on some early photos (by jameslightbown.co.uk) — and they look so sexy — I’m sure you’ll melt just like I did. Enjoy, more info soon on the Playful Promises website, — for now it’s still showing the excellent Alice’s Party collection in stores right now (get it at Barneys, Patricia Field, Henri Bendels, Luxe LA, …)!

There’s more PP news by the way — they plan on opening an online boutique soon — we’ll obviously let you know when it launches! 😉
