Nichole de Carle lingerie new at Silk Storm!

Nichole de Carle is not a newcomer to the lingerie world, but she sure is new on TLP. After working with and for various labels (such as Alexander McQueen, DKNY and Pleasure State) since 2001, she’s been doing her own pieces since 2006 and is quickly making a name for her label in the scene. Nichole’s designs (and I’m quoting her website here): “are inspired by feminine strength as well as classical literature and architecture, and Nichole de Carle’s award winning first collection ‘DaVinci’ emphasises luxurious sensuality, with garments made from the finest silks from all over the world.”

The reason why we’re featuring the label now is because of TLP favorite Silk Storm stocking the brand from now on! They currently have an excellent basque and a bustier (with matching panties) on their website — but who knows, more may follow!

Liaison Dangereuse stocks new Madame V and Pleasure State

Here’s a quick little update from our German friends over at Liaison Dangereuse: they’ve just stocked brand new collections by Madame V and Pleasure State White Label!

The Madame V pieces are those of their AW07 line we featured last week. I loved them before — and I love them now. At â‚¬219 for this excellent Romantica set for example, you pay for what you get, though!

I like the Pleasure State pieces though, even though they’re way more basic. The Pleasure State class shines through though, especially in sets like this pretty Cinta bra and Thong/Garter combo!

Pleasure State Autumn/Winter 2007 Lingerie

Autumn/Winter collections are breaking out all over the place! This collection is from Pleasure State, rich with ornamental designs and committed to being aesthetically pleasing – not everyday practical. The brand says of their two collections:

The strong ornamental theme in design for Pleasure State Couture and Pleasure State White Label Autumn|Winter 07/08 collections is juxtaposed between past and future. Not an anecdotal retrospective but a truly modern interaction between historical references and design adapted for modern end-use.

The baroque and Spanish touches are quite dramatic and lend themselves to fulfilling Pleasure State’s philosophy: that creativity and functionality should coexist (they loathe the smooth-bra trend, which is very practical but a decidedly less-sexy lingerie sphere). Crafted corsets (with nostalgic construction) have a presence in the collection, as do fabrics inspired by table linens, crochet stylings, and old lace mantillas. So you can see where these “historical references” come from! It is also worth noting that Pleasure State announced they hope to bring back the thong, which has been falling out of fashion lately with the prevalence of boyshorts – a trend we noted in the forums. Liaison Dangereuse: a new e-boutique

Liaison Dangereuse is a brand new online lingerie boutique — and even though they’re currently only available in German, they’re very much worth getting some attention on our blog seeing as they have an excellent brand selection and they’re planning on translating their website in the next few months…

Brand Selection
The brand selection is awesome: Chantal Thomass, I.D. Sarrieri, Moontide, Princesse Tam Tam, Mimi Holliday, Pleasure State and Elise Aucouturier — all luxurious, high quality brands that aren’t always easy to find on the net. They’ll be adding Madame V to that list in august — something we can only applaud!

Pricing
This is Euro-pricing and even though that’s my home currency I’m not too used to comparing prices in Euro. After doing some calculating the prices look competitive, though! Don’t expect cheap — these pieces just aren’t. 😉

Pleasure State 2007 Spring/Summer

Last time we wrote about Pleasure State was in december when Figleaves UK was having a clearance on quite a few of their pieces. Today, I’ve got photo’s of their brand new Pleasure State Couture 2007 Spring/Summer collection. The focus is obviously on classy looks and sophisticated details, and I can honestly say I’m quite impressed with how they managed to achieve just that while still being very delicate and feminine.

I wish I had much more information for you, but I’m afraid the photo’s will have to speak for themselves… I love the cami and the bustier, but my favorite is by far the silver dotted underwired with black lace trimming. I’m getting my hands on that one as soon as it hits the shops in Belgium… 😉
