The Lime Ricki team explains how they started designing Children’s and Pre-teen swimwear on their “about” page:
“… it all started after Colette’s frustrating trip to the mall, searching for a swimsuit for her teenage daughter. She wasn’t willing to blow 80 bucks on some designer dental floss, but it was either that or a floral print spandex burqa…”
I’m sure that’s a tough spot for a lot of parents: you don’t want your daughter running around in a string bikini, but you don’t want to overprotect her either… I haven’t had to make such decisions, but as we’ve seen on the forums they’re never easy. Lime Ricki Swimwear wants to be a solution: allowing kids and teens to expose their style, while keeping them ‘comfortably covered’.
The Lime Ricki range is still somewhat limited, but their website looks really fresh and it all looks very ambitious, so obviously they deserved a spot on The Lingerie Post. The photo’s give you an idea of what to expect — there’s more on limericki.com!
