Damaris’ New Collections

Damaris’ new collection is out, and as expected we see the trademark “bottom cleavage” at every turn. ES Magazine has said of the brand:

“Damaris designs the cheekiest knickers in the world…the underwear industry has been rocked by them, [they’re] so original, so popular.”

While the line certainly did not disappoint when it comes to “cheeky knickers,” I have to admit that I was a little disappointed by the designs. They seem to be rehashed versions of the Spring/Summer collection. Don’t get me wrong – everything is still gorgeous and luxurious. I just get the feeling that I’ve seen it all before. The good thing, of course, is that if you had a favorite design earlier in the year, there is probably a new version for you to enjoy! Check out these photos:

There’s a splash of vibrant coral silk, sophisticated black silk chiffon with black polka dot velvet flocking, ingenious thong and boy short designs, and a new ultra low cut bra in black lace. Each bra is available with a knicker, boy short and thong.

Spring/Summer ’07 with Damaris

Damaris has not been featured on The Lingerie Post since early January, and I wanted to make sure this current collection wasn’t skipped over before the Autumn/Winter collections come out! Therefore, the following aren’t brand spanking new designs, but they are the Spring/Summer ’07 collections. And since it’s still summer, I think we can still showcase them! 😉 The designer, Damaris Turle, describes this Spring/Summer ’07 collection as “Demure but with a provocative essence.” With the line having been called “Underwear to be arrested in” by Arena Magazine and Turle herself called “Queen of lingerie, and bottom cleavage” by Tatler Magazine, you know you’ve got to check these designs out!

What I really love about these collections is that they’re basically made up of one beautiful bra (oozing with decadence, of course) and several pairs of panties that coordinate, so you can pin down your personal style exactly. Just look at the gorgeous details on these sets! I especially love the panties, because they are so unexpected and deliciously unique. My favorite are those bows…I’m just drooling over them! For this collection only, Damaris takes a brief break from their trademark egg blue boxes and instead wraps their beautiful pieces in a matte black hatbox with an embossed gold logo and gross grain handles. What a perfect way to give Damaris as a gift (or to just pamper yourself, of course)!

And of course I cannot leave out Mimi Holliday, the younger, girlier, and less exclusive label by Damaris. We’ve talked about Mimi Holliday before, but these are some newer designs from this year that I couldn’t help but show you. These designs are fresher, younger, and more suited for every day – what’s more, they are far less expensive which means more people can afford the Damaris luxury! That’s always a good thing!

The fabulous designs priced between £25 and £35 are beautifully wrapped in baby pink boxes for each customer and sold in 25 stores throughout the UK.”

The good thing is, due to online shopping, these pieces are not just available in the 25 UK stores, but can be shipped throughout the world. Because of the girly image this brand has (the pictures will show you why ;)), it’s very popular amongst young women, and I personally have quite a few friends who are very into Mimi Holliday lingerie.

little dots set mimi hollidayThe set I’d like to show you girls today is a very affordable set available at my favorite online store figleaves. This Little Dots set, available for just $90 for both the Little Dots padded balcony bra and the Little Dots brief. The padded balcony bra from Mimi Holliday has very supportive underwire cups with soft, silk chiffon finishing and a polka dot print. The straps have a satin finish and the pretty ribbons make the bra look very playful and teen-ish. The same sexy girlish ribbon detail can be found on the front of the briefs too.

The quality is right, as to be expected from a Damaris brand, and the looks are spot on if you’re looking for young and girly lingerie. We like!
