Fayreform Fall 2008 Update

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Fayreform showroom and see all the pieces of the Fall collection up close and personal! I wanted to give you some additional information about the products (beyond my commentary about how beautiful the pieces are) since my last post.

Fayreform’s Fall collection is moving toward a more fashion forward look while retaining its signature sophistication. The brand refuses to settle for less than an impeccable fit for its full-cupped customers. Fayreform manages to blend both worlds by meeting subtle detailing with supportive construction.

One example of this intersection of fashion and fit is with the Perfection group. Lady like lace and rosettes adorn the balconette bra uniquely designed with 4 piece vertical cups that give added support ad lift. The Conceptual group is special as it presents Fayreform’s first plunge bra. Of course this amazing shape is complemented by something chic – eyelash lace (in Black or Crabapple Coral) against a nude lining. Pigment is an innovative group featuring a lightweight memory foam that conforms to your body to give you a flawless look. This contour bra is made of a simple, but elegant, diamond print satin.

Elaborate, perfect for the bride-to-be in ivory, features a sweet embroidery and a key hole detailing between the cups. A 3 piece vertical cup gives sexy silhouette. Smooth European stretch lace and rich, contrasting colors define the Figurative group, which also introduces the brand’s first boyleg brief – a cheeky alternative to the traditional brief.

Fine Lines Lingerie Autumn/Winter 2008

Fine Lines Lingerie, designed and developed in Australia, is predominantly known for its strapless bras. They devote their creative abilities to designing perfect bras for special occasions such as weddings, proms and cocktail parties. Designing with the belief that all bras should be comfortable, fashionable and make the women wearing their bras feel extra special, Fine Lines uses feminine fabrics with exciting new colours each season.

The 2008 Autumn/Winter collection is launched and it includes many individual collections and pieces. The pieces are undisputedly gorgeous and Fine Lines is a beautiful range of lingerie but the website is lacking in information as to the fabrics and trimmings. Bras and panties this lovely should be described.

Bright and vibrant colours, pretty delicate prints and bold sexy statements characterize the collections called Glamour, Rose Garden and Seduction. The Carnation collection consists of an underwire contour bra with matching brief or g-string and a sweet little chemise with g-string. Available in pink/marine and cream/blush, the bodice detailing is exquisite.

Available in May 2008, the Body Essentials five way convertible bra in mulberry comes with an extra strap so that the bra can be worn regular, halter, halter low back, regular low back and cross over back. The Intimacy Collection is gorgeous in delicate rose pink intimacy and intense burgundy intimacy. Four pieces make up the set. Pull on bustier with garter straps, brief underpants, and underwire contour bra with pretty lace knicker panties.

Fine Lines Lingerie also offers a Sports Collection line as well as a Convertible Maternity Bra. According to Vogue.com.au, Fine Lines has been in business since 1989 and “are synonymous with producing up-to-the-minute fashion, bridal and special occasion lingerie, as well as the best everyday push-up, t-shirt and strapless bras”.

Some of the items are available online through their own website and shipped internationally but most are sold through authorized stockists. Performing a quick search provided websites such as BraShop.co.nz and ModaLingerie.com.au who sell pieces of the Fine Lines Collections.

Felina and Jezebel Spring 2008

I am very excited about the Spring 2008 lines of both Felina and Jezebel! Felina specializes in Timeless Beauty. Their spring collection reflects that tradition using lush fabrics, flattering shapes, and, as always, a great fit. Jezebel lives up to its tradition of playfully flirty designs with its floral motifs.I particularly like the “Desirables” collection by Felina. This comfy and cute cami and thong set will introduce lots of vibrant color for spring such as cornsilk, green tea, and berry spice! Felina’s “Scarlet” collection will expand to include a moss green color for its unlined and contour bras and low rise thong and boyleg.

I am obsessed with the new Jezebel collection “Obsession!” With the first deliveries in February, this collection features the Jezebel name in the embroidery located on the scalloped cups (among other locations) of both the unlined and contour bras. Additionally, this collection includes a camisole, boyleg briefs, a low rise thong, and a sophisticated and sexy garter belt. Also new for spring is “Haley” collection. This collection features a spirograph embroidery in fun, spring colors such as the sunny “Bumblebee” and the punchy “Calypso.” Classic Jezebel collection “Desire” will welcome spring with color – cantaloupe and stonewashed! I am especially looking forward to stonewashed. The denim inspired pattern adds an additional punch of color with magenta trim and bows! Jezebel also adds a new forbidden fruit for spring with the introduction of apple green to the “Seduction” collection. Enjoy!

Wanted to let you girls in on this, straight from Gigi’s Closet!

We’re all getting greener these days, and not only are we looking for more renewable and sustainable materials but we are also gravitating towards more natural and classic fabrics. (I got a sneak peek at spring 2008 last week and-oh my God, you’re gonna flip!) This Silk Satin in Silvery Gray(called Moss) is buttery soft and luxuriously lustery. It is trimmed with a raw edge satin bow and crocheted lace finished off with pleated silk georgette. Pleasure State is one of those brands everyone seems to like. They have a big range of looks in their collections, and always seem to get their price tags right… Pleasure State lingerie isn’t cheap, but you can’t call it expensive either, now can you? Well, when Pleasure State lingerie is on sale, we have our eyes open… Check out these bargains:

First off is this Pleasure State Artisan contour bra that’s on sale at Figleaves. It’s 50 percent off, and that’s a great opportunity to shop for a Pleasure State bra. Pleasure State’s Artisan contour bra is styled in silky fabric and has underwired, lightly padded cups. It has thin, adjustable straps with sexy rhinestone details, the band is decorated with contrast coloured edging and the cleavage is edged with pretty lace. This is a perfect every-day bra for women who want something special…. every-day. The price tag is extremely sexy as well at Â£17.50 (+/- $35). Check out this matching Artisan Culotte too, it’s….. breathtaking! Too bad it’s not on sale, the matching thong is!

If it’s the wow factor you’re after, then this Concorde Contour bra from Pleasure State Couture certainly won’t let you down. Styled in a silk rich fabric with a fab layered effect on the underwired cups, it also has some glam, diamante detailing on the straps. I mean, this one just looks different. The silk is of top quality, and it even though I’m not one to have a difficult fit, this one was just perfect. A great choice if you ask me! It’s down from Â£60 at only Â£30 at figleaves, so no reason for hesitation.
