Elise Aucouturier French Nighties

April 21, 2007 by Mandolina

Designer Elise Raphalen launched the Elise Aucouturier label back in 2001 after deciding it was time for her to take her work to the next level. She had been working for Vanity Fair and Christian Dior before, so she didn’t miss the designing experience or the confidence to start her own collections…

Ever since 2001,Elise Aucouturier miss tara nightie Elise Aucouturier has been quite successful both in France and in the rest of Europe. In the last few years the brand has also been making it across the ocean. Today, the best place for Americans to shop Elise Aucouturier is a la Mod Body — Susan Rohr’s online lingerie boutique filled with Euro-lingerie… and nighties!

That’s probably what Elise Raphalen is best at: beautiful high end sleepwear.Elise silk Miss Emma sleep dress I adore this $275 Miss Tara sleep dress — a cotton chemise-style nightie outlined in sheer dot tulle and this $240 silk Miss Emma sleep dress. Pretty? Yes. Value for money? I’m not too sure. I’m not saying these pieces aren’t high quality, I’ve tried some Elise Aucouturier nighties on myself and they all feel really well-constructed, but they are missing that little extra in my opinion…

Anyway, want to see more? Check out the a la Mod Body website!

Melissa Odabash Beach & Swimwear

April 18, 2007 by Mandolina

Melissa Odabash isn’t one of the biggest names in beachwear, but thanks to Jacky I stumbled upon the MO website and found light, girly and wearable sexy beachwear I believe are very much worth mentioning on The Lingerie Post. There’s a very large choice (both in the swimwear as the beachwear collection) and it’s all very compatible.

Compatible? Yes! Melissa Odabash combines bikinis and one-pieces (the swimwear line) with beautiful chemises and dresses (the beachwear line). Lots of cotton, lot’s of colors that come back in both collections, lots of smi-see-through in the chemises… It’s all very beautiful!

Here’s some photo’s from their 2007 collections:

March 29, 2007 by Mandolina

Faire Frou Frou has stocked in on New-YorkDessous - Sophie Simmons Anna Cotton Jumper designer based Sophie Simmons’ new ‘Dessous’ collection. The American designer specialized in creating a French-style decadence look with loads of fabric and beautiful drapings has created some pieces very much worth of getting some attention on this website…

The photo’s make their point pretty clearly.Dessous - Sophie Simmons Clementine Nightie Beautiful camisoles, lovely chemises, babydolls and very girly and innocent looking nighties – all in high quality fine Italian cotton.Dessous - Sophie Simmons Sabrina Cotton Nightie

My personal favorite is the Clementine Nightie ($166.00 at Faire Frou Frou). This cotton knit empire nightie has a beautiful floral design appliqué on the front, and 3/4 length sleeves.

Hope you enjoy the photo’s. As mentioned before, the range is available online at Faire Frou Frou!

White Orchid: latina lingerie

March 24, 2007 by Mandolina

I received an e-mail earlier this week from Silvina, the big boss woman of White Orchid, a brand spanking new online lingerie boutique, asking me very nicely whether or not I’d be interested in taking a look at their shop, and possibly writing a small article about it to let all of our British readers know they’re out there.Burdel Erotiques Top and Knickers latin lingerie

Well, after taking a look at their website, I can safely say: check them out! They have brands I had never heard of! Miss Nuvem, AmorLatino, Corpo e Arte, Burdel, Karamel and Jesús Fernández. All of these brands are quite famous in South-America, but hey, I just don’t live there 😉 , so I have a valid excuse!

Their brands make them so interesting and surely worth a visit. Cool Lavander set by Amor Latino full detailYou’ll see styles and pieces you can’t find anywhere else in the UK, and some of them are truly breathtaking! White Orchid handpicked their designers from a very big pool of latina brands based on quality and femininity, good standards if you ask me!

Check out this Burdel Erotiques top and knickers set. It’s a beautiful chemise-like lace top that has beautiful embroidery detail. The vedettina knickers top it off completely! It’s not cheap though, at £75 for the set.

Now, some of these pieces are true bargains!Cool Lavander set by Amor Latino lingerie back This stunning Cool Lavander set by Amor Latino features an exquisite triangle bra with beautiful golden trim on the cups and a matching bottom for just £39. I guess I’m not the only one who liked it either as Glamour featured it in their ’50 best pieces list’ in their february 2007 issue.

White Orchid also has a large stock of nighties and maternity clothes!

We’ll be showing more latina lingerie on The Lingerie Post soon! After seeing this website, I just feel like exploring 😀 (no, I didn’t write exploDing) 😉

Lotus Lace Nursing Chemise While I am not a new mother, I do have a few friends who are or soon will be! Word on the street is that pregnancy, while a great joy, can also be a time where you feel less than sexy or pretty. Belabumbum has an abundant maternity boutique with every necessity from nursing bras to swimsuits to pajamas to bring your sexy back!

These flirty, feminine pieces are beautiful in texture and pattern. I think the Lotus Lace Nursing Chemise is just the cutest!

Aubergine Girl ShortFor those of you not with child, you can also luxuriate in lace and tulle as well. I’m eyeing the Aubergine Girlshort! Can’t decide? Need to give someone a hint? Channel your inner femme fatale and let your unique persona choose for you in the Gift Guide.
