Roberto Cavalli Lingerie: Second Skin

October 6, 2006 by Mandolina

Roberto Cavalli Second Skin Underwire Bra FrontRoberto Cavalli is a gigantic brand when if we take a look at the variety of products they offer. Their founder, Roberto Cavalli (how surprising), is one of the most famous names in fashion. That’s what the brand is most known for too: their extravagant collections, with loads of animal prints and sexy looks.

The Roberto Cavalli brand also has a lingerie line, and they’re known for their quality fabrics and (and this is actually quite the surprise after what we’ve just mentioned) sober designs. Their focus on quality has however given them quite a few loyal customers who value the basic yet feminine looks RC has put into their lingerie. The Second Skin collection is no different, and combines the sober look with extremely soft fabric (Do they really feel like a second skin? I wouldn’t believe all the marketing talk ;-)). Roberto Cavalli Second Skin Underwire Bra BackThe little diamond-detail in the center between the cups is a true eye catcher.

We’d like to suggest the Roberto Cavalli Second Skin Underwire Bra in combination with the Second Skin high brief and were very excited about the looks and feels. The push-up bra looks great too, but we haven’t had the chance of testing that out yet. Prices start at about $60 for the Underwire bra, which isn’t too expensive. The triangle version can be found for $45.99, and the cheapest I’ve found for the Push-up bra was $84.

DKNY Lingerie: always interesting

October 4, 2006 by Mandolina

DKNY Sensual Curves set pinkDKNY is a global clothing brand. Too many women (and actually, the brand itself too) seem to feel like the DKNY core business is clothing for fashionable young people. The lingerie they come up with, however, surely deserves some attention too. DKNY isn’t at all expensive, and their quality underwear is great for daily wear. A lot of their stuff looks very basic, but fits great and provides any ‘normal’ cup size with great support. I wouldn’t advice the D+ cupped women to choose DKNY, but anyone up to D cups can expect great fitting lingerie, in quality fabrics for very decent prices.

DKNY Sensual Curves Bra BlackWhat is decent? Depending on the shop, prices for complete sets start at approximatly $45 for the basic underwear. The Sensual Curves line for example (the pictures that come with this entry are from this Sensual Curves collection) looks basic, but playful. The stretch lace tanga features a high-cut leg, the bra has a printed mesh lace overlay on smooth graduated padded cups and thick floral lace bordering the cups. It looks sexy at very, very low price.

DKNY is a great choice for basic lingerie. If you decide to choose a DKNY set you’ll enjoy quality underwear at a great price, and that sounds like a fair deal to me!

Parah Intimo: Italian Intimacy

October 4, 2006 by Mandolina

Ever since Silkstorm stopped distributing Parah Lingerie I’ve been forced to do my ordering through a friend of mine who doesn’t live too far from Fortalezza (there’s a Parah Boutique located in Marbella). Why don’t I just order through the web? Well, I haven’t found a webshop yet that’s selling their full collection (or at least large parts of the Parah Intimo collection). My only resort is the Parah website, and my Spanish friend… I feel privileged ;-).

Oh well, let’s get to the point here: the amazing Parah Intimo collection. The whole collection screams sexy. Warm and deep colors, frivolous details and risky cuts. The high quality embroidery looks extremely sexy in almost any of the sets in this Intimo collection, and I honestly haven’t seen a single piece I don’t like in the catalogue. Some of the garter-belt based sets would look extremely good on my (and your) waistline, I’m sure… These photo’s are a pretty good summary of what the Parah Intimo collection is all about: top quality and very sexy lingerie:

The Parah brand is one of the biggest names in Italian Lingerie, and I’ve been a big fan for quite some time. Don’t let the price tag scare you: you won’t be throwing out money, this stuff is worth the cash!
