New Lou Lingerie for Spring!

May 18, 2009 by Krista

Hopefully spring has sprung in your part of the world.  It has here in NYC and it has me in the mood for shopping!  If you are looking for a few new pieces to add to your lingerie wardrobe, try some of the new spring pieces from Lou Lingerie.  Beautiful, light, and airy, each range is well designed and exquisite.  There’s bound to be something that suits your fancy.

I absolutely adore the Origami collection!  This delicately embroidered, Japanese inspired collection 3 silhouettes – full cup, demi cup, and push up.  Each can be paired with a bikini, brief, or string also adorned with the embroidery.  What sets Origami apart is the sweet additions like ruffled straps and gauzy bows.

Tokyo is a delightful display of rich and vibrant colors!  Made of silk crepe, the combination of colors, prints, and textures make for a unique and alluring look.  I especially love the sassy, bum flattering Shorty!

Love Leavers lace?  Then you will love Cherry Blossom.  Shown in Azalea, this beautiful, classy set is also available in Ivory.  Perfect for the bride-to-be.

Lucky for you, there is even more to the collection.  Check out these and all the other ranges for yourself on the revamped Lou website.  While there, Magnifique!

New Ginch Gonch Collection!

December 13, 2008 by Mandolina

Ginch Gonch is most famous for their very sexy men’s underwear — but in their last couple seasons they’ve really been working hard on establishing a fun yet sexy womens line too… Their latest line — the first of 2009 — just hit the Ginch Gonch website, and it’s exactly what you could’ve expected it to be: very colorful, very playful — and very boyish. It’s the kind of underwear I like to wear on the couch, under a blanket, accompanied by a man in matching Ginch Gonch briefs, obviously. :p

As you can see, this isn’t a glamorous lingerie line — these are basic undies, but the kind you don’t mind showing off!

Well done, Ginch Gonch!

BambiLion Lingerie

June 19, 2008 by Mandolina

Earlier this week we found out about the new BambiLion lingerie label that was launched in May by Australian designers Hanna Ashton-Lawson and Erin Hoffrichter. Obviously trying to keep you all up to date with the latest lingerie news we quickly got in touch with them for a quick introductory interview!

Q: How did you girls end up starting a lingerie label?
A: We started the lingerie brand this year after bouncing the idea around for a long time! We were lingerie shopping, and began to reminisce about the ‘value packs’ of pretty floral underwear that our mothers used to buy us when we were little. We decided that we wanted to reinvent that floral vintage look into more sexy, modern designs.

Q: Where do you get most of your inspiration?
A: We draw a lot of inspiration from patterned fabrics, antiques fairs, 50’s fashion and burlesque. We are also inspired by brands like Pleasure State, Elegantly Scant, Damaris and Strumpet and Pink.

Q: You just started, but what are your hopes and goals for the (near) future?
A: Our goals for the near future are to begin selling in boutiques and for BambiLion to become a brand recognized (and adored) by lingerie lovers everywhere.

Well, we hope this post helps accomplishing that last bit. 😀

The first photos of their first collection:

We’re officially fans. More info about the label can be found on their MySpace page or their lovely webshop!

Fayreform Fall 2008 Update

May 9, 2008 by Krista

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Fayreform showroom and see all the pieces of the Fall collection up close and personal! I wanted to give you some additional information about the products (beyond my commentary about how beautiful the pieces are) since my last post.

Fayreform’s Fall collection is moving toward a more fashion forward look while retaining its signature sophistication. The brand refuses to settle for less than an impeccable fit for its full-cupped customers. Fayreform manages to blend both worlds by meeting subtle detailing with supportive construction.

One example of this intersection of fashion and fit is with the Perfection group. Lady like lace and rosettes adorn the balconette bra uniquely designed with 4 piece vertical cups that give added support ad lift. The Conceptual group is special as it presents Fayreform’s first plunge bra. Of course this amazing shape is complemented by something chic – eyelash lace (in Black or Crabapple Coral) against a nude lining. Pigment is an innovative group featuring a lightweight memory foam that conforms to your body to give you a flawless look. This contour bra is made of a simple, but elegant, diamond print satin.

Elaborate, perfect for the bride-to-be in ivory, features a sweet embroidery and a key hole detailing between the cups. A 3 piece vertical cup gives sexy silhouette. Smooth European stretch lace and rich, contrasting colors define the Figurative group, which also introduces the brand’s first boyleg brief – a cheeky alternative to the traditional brief.

Profile Perfect is the seamless staple (and a best seller) for Fayreform. Designed with you in mind, this bra is constructed to provide maximum support by dispersing the weight evenly between your back and shoulders.

Absolutely amazing! Find Fayreform at a number of retailers worldwide, including Nordstrom, Boudiche, Allens Stores and online at Bare Necessities and Blest Bras.
