Dita Von Teese teams up with Wonderbra

January 23, 2008 by Kelly

Dita Von Teese pairs with WonderbraThe famous burlesque performer and model Dita von Teese is set to design a limited edition of Wonderbra lingerie, aptly named “Wonderbra by Dita Von Teese.” The retro designs (released in three ranges) will focus on lingerie fashion from the 1940s. Dita will be modeling this new collection in a Parisian photoshoot in the upcoming weeks, and the line itself will be released in September. Dita said of the partnership:

“I’ve been passionate about beautiful lingerie my entire life, so to team up with Wonderbra is a great privilege for me and I am immensely proud of my collection…I really hope that with this new range I can share my passion for sensual, wearable lingerie that will add a touch of glamour to people’s lives.”

Debbie Rix, Wonderbra’s Europoean marketing director, says:

“Dita understands how to make a woman feel sexy. She is a natural fit for the Wonderbra brand.”

Dita will be the first celebrity in Wonderbra’s history to create an exclusive range with the company.

The Nipple Bra

August 28, 2007 by Mandolina

Wonderbra Nipple BraWe’ve mentioned quite a few different types of nipple covers on The Lingerie Post, but for some reason they were always about playing down the nipple-area. Well, the bra Wonderbra is launching in Paris, France, is doing anything but that. The bra is designed to give the illusion of erect nipples (l’illusion de seins en érection — got to love it more in French). 😉

The Original Nipple BraAnyway — I actually think this is interesting. I mean — I like the whole bra-less look, but it’s just not realistic on certain occasions. There’s just one little thing: it’s been done before! 😉 Oh well — I suppose the marketing budget Wonderbra has (apparently they’re a Sara Lee brand, oh my) will be the difference between top or flop in the nipple bra area… 😉 😀

Big thanks to Polly and Libération (in French).

Multiway Bras that can be worn 100 different ways!

May 15, 2007 by Kelly

Are you ready for something crazy, intimidating, but ultimately amazing? Look no further than this Wonderbra that can be worn 100 different ways, which first came out last fall. That sounds almost space-age at first! My convertible bra can do only convert to three different strap positions, and I was pretty happy with that! Apparently my bra is horribly sub par, however. The customer reviews on Figleaves show that 72% of customers would recommend this bra to a friend, but upon reading them all it seems that there might be sizing issues, especially for the larger sizes. Still, if 8 out of 11 women recommend this bra it could be worth trying out. I can’t think of any outfit that this bra wouldn’t work for, other than completely strapless styles. I can’t find the Wonderbra anywhere except Figleaves UK, but Victoria’s Secret has only very recently begun to sell what looks to be basically the same product, but I haven’t heard anything yet about how good it is. If anyone has it, let us know!

Wonderbra Multiway Bra

Except now the question is… where is there for convertible bras to go from here?
