New Vera Wang Lingerie. Ready for fall yet?

August 19, 2011 by Brigitte

Although summer’s still here, fall collection introductions start falling in our mailbox every now and then already. Vera Wangs diffusion line Simply Vera is the first to be introduced on your favorite lingerie blog. With Simply Vera, the designer tries to combine style, comfort, and affordability – a combination that is hard to find, especially that last bit. Vera Wang designs Simply Vera exclusively for Kohl’s as a designer private label, which means high quality at a nice price. Her nonchalant approach to style and luxury is reflected in the pieces she designs for her store brand, as it is in her official line.

Simplicity is the keyword for the intimate fall collection. Soft fabrics, neat designs, comfortable sleepwear, it’s all there. The feminine touch is never forgotten: fine linings, lace or satin details and perfect and flirty draping. These all contribute to the female form the designer wants to emphasize. Furthermore you can dream away while it’s raining outside in boyish oversized brushed twill shirts or pants and tops. The colors are friendly and soft.

The Simply Vera lingerie collection is available now at Kohl’s department store, and online at www.kohls.com. You’d almost think you’ve had enough of summer, wouldn’t you?

Vera Wang’s Light and Airy Collection

September 21, 2010 by Bruna

While online window-shopping, I decided to check out Vera Wang since I hadn’t done so in a while. Her designs are always so unbelievable and never cease to amaze me. The current sleepwear and foundations selection available on the Web site appears to be so light and airy that it’s almost as if the pieces are just going to float right out of the screen… or so I wish!

The prices are actually fairly reasonable, $20 for the least expensive piece (contrast band thong) and $92.50 for the most expensive (ballet gown).

Vera Wang for Kohl’s

April 7, 2008 by Kelly

simplyveralogo.pngBrenda and I have shown you gorgeous Vera Wang lingerie before, but did you know that Vera Wang also has a line at Kohl’s? The US department store has featured the intimates line, named Simply Vera and designed exclusively for the store, since September 2007. I’ll warn you before you get too excited: the Kohl’s line is nothing like the gowns and chemises we’ve seen before. But it is a line of elegant basics with just a bit more grace than other everyday bras and panties (plus a few more fun items thrown in for good measure!). The intimates selection complements the larger range of misses clothing designed by Wang for the store.

Of the collection, Wang said, “Simply Vera Vera Wang is not just fashion, but a total philosophy about life and style.” I’m a fan of the seamless hipster, which is one of the most comfortable and invisible ones I’ve tried yet – great for days I’m not in the mood for a thong but still don’t want panty lines to show!

Vera Wang Lingerie

March 30, 2008 by Brenda

Vera Wang is best known for her exquisite designer bridal gowns. While her gowns may not suit the budget conscious, every bride-to-be dreams of wearing a Vera Wang. So talented was Vera that when she joined Vogue at the early age of twenty-six, she became the youngest fashion editor ever. Her talent and expertise in the field of weddings is immense which is why not as many people are familiar with her lingerie collection.

Her lingerie is considered as high end as her wedding gowns with elegant creations made of poly charmeuse, silk chiffon, pima jersey, poly satin chiffon, tulle, poly crinkle chiffon, silk charmeuse, crinkle dot jacquard and silk charvet. Just hearing the names of the fabrics spoken out loud exudes the air of dreamy, luxurious, riche creations.

The collection is best described as subtle, timeless elegance. And although, one might feel sexy in one of these dream selections, the overall appearance is more demure and tactful rather than provocative. From thongs to baby dolls and pyjamas to long dressing gowns, Vera Wang lingerie is found in most fine (bricks and mortar) bridal boutiques as well as many online lingerie and bridal stores.

Try Vera Wang for a romantic night

July 28, 2007 by Kelly

Vera Wang, perhaps the most well-known wedding dress designer and former editor of Vogue, also offers a lesser well-known line of lingerie. I discovered this line during a recent shopping trip, and I can personally vouch for the quality and style of these chemises, gowns, and nightwear. I knew I wouldn’t buy anything that day but I still scurried to the dressing room with an armload of them just to try them on! The line is mostly floaty, feminine, and extremely romantic nighttime pieces, but there are definitely the more sultry designs (check out the black chemise!)

Visit the website for more photos – I had the hardest time imaginable picking out which pieces to feature here, so I highly recommend that you poke around the website for yourself! There is a much larger selection on the site. I think it goes without saying that these may very well be the perfect things to wear the night after you wear your beautiful Vera Wang wedding dress! If you can’t afford a Vera Wang dress, the lingerie line is easier on the wallet; the prices range from just under $100 to around $300.
