Melanie Brown, formerly “Scary Spice” of the Spice Girls and currently a correspondent for Access Hollywood’s Dancing with the Stars, is poised to be the next face for Ultimo! Mel B has signed a $1 million deal to model for the next ad campaign. An Ultimo source said of the 34DD singer, “We were blown away by the great shape she is in, and desperate to land her…Mel B has never been bigger.”
Knowing that you need a bra and not being able to find your size is very disappointing. But you are one of the very many lucky women if you know of the company EnVie from England. They pride themselves on having something to fit any woman, big or small, because their specialty is making unusual sizes that are not readily found elsewhere.
A family run business for over ten years, Jane Mills, the owner, has over twenty years experience in the lingerie industry. In addition to their own handmade lingerie, the company also offers lingerie and swimwear from other name labels that offer odd sizing. Many of the 2008 lingerie and swimwear collections are now available on the EnVie website.
The outstanding feature about this company, that caught my eye, was the fact that they sell hundreds of different laces by the meter for custom made pieces. The customer chooses the lace that she likes and the designers start sewing. This is ideal for matching other pieces or finding the perfect colour to wear under a particular garment.
Customer service seems to be paramount with EnVie as the company offers specialty services such as converting bras that are now too small, cutting patterns to remake a bra that has been discontinued by the manufacturer, offering phone orders, website help and in shop orders as well. Personal one-on-one appointments are also encouraged. Some of the labels carried by EnVie: Panache, Playtex, Anita, Ultimo…
Gemma Atkinson made an appearance on the Ultimo Store Opening at Debenhams on the 13th of december, and thanks to Shauna who e-mailed us these pics — we have a little post-coverage! Gemma is the face of Ultimo (and especially Ultimo D-G), and that probably means she has some “actes de présence” in her contract.
I’m sure the male guests at the Debenhams event weren’t complaining. She looks great, but — is it just me, or does her bustier look like it’s NOT a good fit? :s Enjoy the photos!
Kimberley Stewart will be the new face of Adore Moi, an Ultimo brand sold at Debenhams. This adds another twist to the already strange relationship the Stewart family has with Ultimo. Remember Rachel Hunter? Remember Penny Lancaster? Ultimo’s Michelle Mone is obviously out for some free press (and guess what, it’s working 😉 )!
Kimberley however doesn’t seem to mind getting Â£100.000 for showing her knickers (you go girl!), and I have to admit she looks adorable. Pretty – and cheap! – lingerie and a pretty blonde: that’s two thumbs up from me. More info on the pieces is on the Adore Moi website and the Debenhams site!
Sarah Harding has unvealed the new swimwear line for Ultimo, and she’s looking stunning as ever! I’m not too impressed with the bathing suits (the prints look a bit over the top for me) — but hey, they are basic and sexy, so you can’t really go wrong with ‘m either.
