Pi (Perfectly Imperfect), a casual fashion line made from organic cotton knits, is the creation of Jadie Kadletz, a Los Angeles, California designer. Formally trained in fashion design and patternmaking as a graduate of the Fashion and Design Program at Brooks College, Kadie believes in the “Wabi Sabi way of life” which extols the virtues of clean living without harm. Specifically, “the belief in simplicity, quietude, and rustic beauty. It includes both that which is made from nature, and that which is made by hand where an accidental or happenstance element gives elegance and uniqueness”.
The Summer 2008 Collection consists of many lingerie pieces such as camisoles, briefs, chemises, tank tops with buttons, racer backed night-tees, and rompers. Panties in boy short, g-string, thong, tap pant and basic styling, all adorned with lace or complementary ribbing, can be worn as panties under clothing or play sets around the house. The collection is full of “rompers”, playful sets for casual or lounge wear. One romper that is particularly eye-catching is the deep and intense “henna”, a burgundy coloured tank top and bottoms with beige buttons down the front.
Indeed, a very sweet collection with a casual feel of comfort.
