per una Nightwear Valentines 2009

December 21, 2008 by Mandolina

Per una might be a newcomer at The Lingerie Post, but it’s been a long-standing fashion label at British retailer Marks & Spencer for quite some time. Today, we received news of their upcoming Valentines Nightwear collection, and even though most of the product photos looked pretty plain and basic, this beautiful Mesh Spot Kimono that’s expected to cost around £30 (the bra, panties & kimono set total will be around £50!) really did stand out for me…

Throughout the line a few things return: floral prints, soft & feminine colors and loads of paisley. You can browse the whole line at marksandspencers.com — but I’m afraid you’ll have to agree with me on the kimono above being the eye-catcher in the collection… 🙂

Marks and Spencer’s Progress with Eco-Lingerie

May 12, 2008 by Mandolina

Marks and Spencer has finally opened their Sri Lanka factory which claims to be the first eco-friendly factory of its kind, using forty percent less energy and fifty percent less water than normal manufacturing. Two of their lingerie lines will be produced here in a “carbon-neutral” environment.Marks and Spencer

A year in construction, the public will see the results of the production first hand in July when the lingerie from this factory reaches the store racks by way of the M&S Autograph and Per Una labels. Company officials state that the prices will not be increased compared to existing lines despite the company’s sizeable investment in the plant. They also plan to phase in the Fairtrade cotton into the manufacturing over the course of the next year.

As the largest retailer of underwear in the UK, boasting a twenty-eight percent market share, M&S plans to open two more “green manufacturing” plants later in 2008 in Wales and Bangladesh to service other areas of their clothing lines.

January 27, 2008 by Mandolina

Noemie Lenoir was born in Paris, is married to French football player Claude Makélélé — but ever since she’s become the face (and body) of UK Label Marks & Spencer the 28-year old mother of one is becoming just as famous in England as she is in France.

I can see why — she looks so classy in these pictures. Lovely Noemie just gained a fan! 🙂
