Sassy and Sweet Holiday Treats

November 7, 2007 by Krista

The holidays are upon us. And that means it is time to start making our lists, our shopping lists that is. During my recent Bloomingdales excursion with my friend Megan, we found quite a few items that will be perfect presents for the sweet or sassy sisters or girlfriends on your lists. I know it is always a quest to find a unique gift, so hopefully these suggestions will be a start.

Looking for something sweet? Try stuffing her stocking with the Juicy Couture Striped Boy Shorts Lollipop Box. Choose from “Live for Sugar,” “Eat Cake,” or “Keep Me Sweet.” I bet she’ll prefer this to sugar plums! We also loved the Set of Three, Cupcake Couture Boy Shorts. The green, yellow, and pink trio are neatly packaged in a cupcake holder gift box and adorned with a Juicy Couture ribbon. This is the gift that keeps on giving. The baking cups that hold the sweet treats can be used to bake your favorite cupcakes long after the boughs of holly have been un-decked and the New Year’s champagne has been rinsed from your glasses. Shop early at Juicy Couture or at your local Bloomingdales.

Honeydew Fruit Mesh BoyshortSearching for something on the sassier side? I love the fun and flirty patterns of Honeydew boyshorts. At $12 a pop, they are my way of indulging Honeydew Rumba Boyshortmy guilty pleasure without breaking the bank! From cute cucumbers and pretty pineapples to racy, animal prints and sexy skulls, there is something for everyone. I also love the other sassy options from Honeydew including their bralettes and thongs. For added pizzazz , try the rumba short! In an animal print, it isn’t for the tame! Find them at the Honeydew website or, of course, Bloomingdales.

For the best of both worlds, try the Graffiti Pink website. Not only do they carry a number of popular brands such as Hanky Panky, Wendy Glez, and Malicious, but they also have a number of their own items including the very sassy handprint boyshort and the “My Panties are Better than Yours” tank (which I hope ends up under my tree!).If you find anything else gift-worthy, be sure to let us know in our forums. We’d love to hear all about it!

Malicious Designs – lace and ribbon decorated heaven

July 17, 2007 by Jessica

Malicious Designs Spring07Malicious Designs was started 5 years ago by designer Sheana Hinesley. Her inspiration? Frederick’s of Hollywood circa 1950 mixed with urban edge. What makes Hinsley’s work so unique is that all her pieces are handmade, each one distinctive and personal.

Malicious Designs Spring07Malicious Designs Bra and PantiesMalicious Designs first caught my attention when it was featured in Bust Magazine and the last issue of Venus, and as TLP already posted some time ago — they also have an online boutique. When you combine this news with the fact that they’re also starting a “Panty Subscription Service,” I’m in heaven, albeit one decorated with lace and ribbons.

Hinsley’s work sells online as well as at boutiques all over the world, from Saudi Arabia to Japan to the USA. Panties go from $22-$50 and slips are priced from $60 to $200.

Malicious Designs opens an online boutique

June 9, 2007 by Mandolina

Designer Sheana Hinesley started Malicious Designs back in 2001 wanting to bring an edgy, flirty, fun look based on the 1950’s Frederick’s of Hollywood back to lingerie and dresses. Her handmade pieces are unique, temperamental and as to be expected from a high-end label made with the most delicate and luxurious fabrics… The label is already sold across the globe, but just recently Malicious Designs also opened their own online boutique!

Divided into 4 categories (“Dresses”, “Babydolls”, “Sets” and “Underwear”), the shop is really intuitive and easy to browse. Seeing as the amount of different styles is limited, the large photo’s and simple presentation works great. We suggest you check it out for yourself, but in order to motivate you a little more, here are some of my own personal favorites (click the image to see the piece in full size!):

Very flirty Cha Cha Dress – $220

Girly Abigail Flowered Babydoll – $120

Colorful Retro Playsuit – $175

Also make sure to check out their gorgeous briefs, the Suzanne‘s are my favorite! Obviously a great label, and we look forward to bring you updates on them every once in a while!
