Esona and Jasmine from Australia

June 13, 2009 by Rene

CWP International is a lingerie manufacturer from Australia. The company has two brands, Esona and Jasmine. Both lines can be found in hundreds of brick and mortar retail outlets throughout Australia. The corporate website doesn’t offer a lot of information about either brand or the history of the company. If you are from Australia, please leave a comment if you know more.

Esona is described as:

A trend-setting label at the high point of fashion. Esona collections offer beauty as well as comfort for essential daily wear and the glamour of the special occasion.

Jasmine is aimed at a different demographic:

A sassy label dedicated to the seriously-curvy figure. Designed and structured to provide comfort, glamour and up-to-the-minute fashion, Jasmine is strictly for those who know what it means to be a real woman. Have fun and enjoy the experience. It’s the shape of the future.

You can find both brands at the super internet store for Aussies: Zodee.com. Bras are about $25 US/$30 AUS/£15 while knickers are about $15 US/$18/AUS/£9.

On the Lookout: Isabell Kristensen

June 9, 2009 by Rene

Isabell Kristensen has dressed some pretty famous cients, including Shania Twain, Nicole Kidman, Jerry Hall, Helena Christensen, Shirley Bassey, and Ivana Trump for a short sample. This Danish designer gained notoriety for designing Jordan’s wedding dress. (Jordan, aka Katie Price is like a British version of Kim Kardashian). The ball gown is listed on various best of lists for favourite wedding dresses.

Ms Kirstensen launched Dreams in 2005.

“Too much is never enough” is the motto of the famous Danish designer Isabell Kristensens and the back ground for the new brand Dreams by Isabell Kristensen. ”Dreams by Isabell Kristensen” is young and trendy lingerie, nightwear and beachwear for the girl who wants to be the star in her own life. “Dreams by Isabell Kristensen” is all about dreams. The dream of glamour, the dream of being beautiful and the dream of being something special. The products can be mixed and matched to allow you to create your own style.

The lingerie from Dreams is manufactured by Danish super firm Femilet and came one year after the launch of Dreams. There are only a few online retailers carrying the brand and Perfect Undies is one of them. Perfect Undies likes the brand, but doesn’t seem to have anything in stock. They are awaiting the next line, but it may not come. The website for Dreams hasn’t been update and promises to be back for fall. If you know of any updates, please leave a comment. Until then, enjoy the collage at the end of this article.

Clean and Crisp Wundervoll from Germany

June 2, 2009 by Rene

Kelly introduced you to Wundervoll last year in TLP. With a couple of seasons since our last report and a growing list of retailers, it was time to visit Wundervoll again.

Wundervoll has taken on the challenge of designing lingerie for modern women who demand high quality. The elaborate artistry of the collection items captivate with clear design and noble details. Since 2008, Wundervoll has gracefully accentuated the body without confining it, combining sexy style with pleasurable wearing comfort.

The brand has deep roots. Matthias Jaschkes’ grandparents started a linen factory decades ago. Matthias combines his family’s long history with quality textiles and the styles of Berlin. The products are made in Germany and Jaschke works with Luise Blank for design assistance. This is the third collection from Jaschke. Art deco and retro futurism are some of the inspirations.

Jaschke has said, “Our look has become more courageous and sophisticated, of course while still maintaining Wundervoll’s typical understatement.” Nearly all of the pieces are made from pure silk with bits of lycra and organic cotton. Sizes are still pretty limited with bras offered in 32A to 36C and knickers in sizes 2-8. Besides being carried by exclusive stockists around the world, a few online retailers do carry the brand: frontlineshop, Style Server, and Enamora. Prices reflect the quality of the material and boutique production. Most pieces are 70,00 € to 130,00 €. Photos are courtesy of http://www.wundervoll-underwear.com/.

Luna Lingerie from Greece

May 30, 2009 by Rene

Luna SA designs, manufactures, and sells lingerie and swimwear in Greece. The company began in 1996 and continues today. Luna has shown a steady growth pattern by expanding to Belgium, Italy, and France with plans to continue European expansion.

The company offers two different brands, the eponymous Luna (flagship line) and a diffusion brand Lovely. Both brands offer lingerie and swimwear. The Luna brand is described as

Expensive materials and fine designs are the main characteristics of this brand, addressed to women from 18 to 35 years old. Found in boutiques stores. The collection consists of brassiere, slip, string, suspender belt, body, dress, guepierre and vests.

Luna has provided some technical innovation as well, creating the first oil/fluid padded bra for the Greek market in 1999. Luna also introduced a Miracle bra (not related to Victoria’s Secret). In 2009, Luna improved the Miracle line and now calls it Miracle Platinum. The company enjoys 20% of the market share in Greece.

At this point, there is no company web store and I haven’t been able to find an online boutique. Add a comment if you know of any internet retailers.

A Brief Look at Colombian Lingerie from Svelta

May 24, 2009 by Rene

Conferintex S.A. is the company behind the brand Svelta from Colombia. They want to fulfill the expectation of women for Being, Feeling, and Looking slim (Svelta) and Beautiful. This is their 15 year anniversary. The company places values on Humility, Equality, Honesty, and Quality.

The Svelta brand has three lines Classic/Romantic (aka Svelta Figures), Modern/Radiant (aka Svelta Woman), Vibrant/Funny (aka Svelta Teens). Each of these is relatively similar, with the standard split of skimpier knickers (strings and thongs) for the teens and full cover Lady Ga-Ga knickers for the older-than-teen audience.

Other than this brief glimpse into the company, the site doesn’t offer much more. There is no listing of retailers, company stores, or even a company shopping site. If any of the TLP readers are in Colombia and can provide more information, please leave a comment.
