Quicker than expected, the forums have been re-enabled!
Minor technical issues…
Hi everyone!
Just a very quick update on the technical issues we’re having on the forums… Today, we’ve upgraded our server which also meant updating some of the software it’s running on. Apparently, one of the software updates wasn’t compatible with the forum software we’re using, which means we have to find a solution to make sure these can be in the future…
This can take a couple days, but we promise to be back as soon as we find a solution for this. We’re working on it! 😉
Lola Haze & Charlotte Pinson team up!
December 1, 2008. New York based lingerie and loungewear brand Lola Haze and artist Charlotte Pinson have teamed up to create a capsule collection. The result of this dynamic collaboration: whimsical one-of-a-kind wearable art – and priced to suit the art aficionado on a budget.
The flowing silk charmeuse pieces incorporate Lola Haze’s aesthetic of modern luxury with a playful twist. Designer Laura Mehlinger’s soft structures give flowing form to the liquidy paintings, and her touches of sheer chiffon detailing compliment the delicacy of Pinson’s brush strokes.
Pinson has personalized these lively canvases with imaginative scapes of cranes, sparrows, and figures leaning in for a kiss. Her influences ranged from deco-oriental prints and Japanese kimonos to the lovers on the streets of New York.
Princesse Tam Tam founders killed in Mumbai
On behalf of myself and the entire team here at The Lingerie Post, I would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Princesse Tam Tam owners Loumia Hiridjee and her husband Mourad Amarsy.
Blind violence leaves everyone with a sense of emptiness, and we were geniunly shocked by the news that Loumia and her husband were amongst the people killed in the Mumbai terrorist attacks. Hiridjee and her husband were dining at the Oberoi Trident hotel where they were shot and killed by terrorist forces.

Creating the unique and distinctive look of Alice & Astrid has been though,
- Beautiful editorial style shoots of each collection directed by Astrid and her husband Simon. The Autumn/Winter 2008 collection has been tastefully shot on a model in the Alice & Astrid boutique, these will be included on the web site this coming winter giving the shopping site the familiarity of the boutique in Notting Hill.
- The boutique and atmosphere created by Astrid & Simon, it combines the experience of Alice & Astrid though being and buying a trend which is set to grow and one which we have plans for developing.

As our homes provide a framework to our lives, offering security, love, respect and provenance. Alice & Astrid seek to design beautiful pieces to complement your lifestyle.”
Astrid has an incredible eye for colour and detail this is translated though to the fabric design and silhouette, the look is not fashion lead, but offers a unique lifestyle concept. Using natural fabrics and hand printed techniques we look to produce the finest quality products. The collections have steadily expanded and have been featured on Sophia Myles in the British film Hallam Foe and Alice & Astrid’s classic polka dot baby doll has appeared on Desperate House Wives recently.
