The Lingerie You Need on Spring Break

March 8, 2011 by Kelly

It’s almost time for Spring Break! The next few weeks will see students from all over hitting the road with family and friends to take a week off and relax. If you’re taking advantage of the time off to visit a warmer climate, keep these lingerie essentials in mind while you’re packing:

1. MULTIWAY BRA
When space is at a premium (whether you’re stuffing a group of people into one car or just trying to pack light on the plane), a multiway bra is invaluable. Straps that are convertible or removable make it easy to wear one bra with a variety of styles like strapless dresses, racerback tanks, and halter tops, so you don’t have to pack separate a bra for each outfit. Just make sure to pack more than one – each bra needs at least a day between wearings to let the elastic “rest.”

2. SWIMSUIT
I know, I know: total no-brainer. But it would be awful to forget it! For the most flattering fit this year (not to mention the best support), try ordering a bikini that comes in bra sizes.

3. LINGERIE WASH
You never know what will happen on Spring Break! Maybe you’ll get caught in a downpour. Or get seaweed in your bikini. Or fall in the mud while tossing a football. So bring some lingerie detergent with you in case you have to wash up your lingerie and swimwear mid-trip. I like Soak – it’s ridiculously convenient. Just soak and hang to dry (hang on your hotel balcony to give the boys a tease!).

4. CUTE PJS
Chances are, you’ll be sharing a hotel room, cottage, or campsite with other people. This is a good time to upgrade your bedtime wardrobe. Here at TLP we never encourage you to wear saggy sweatpants and holey t-shirts to bed, but especially when other people are there to see!

5. SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU FEEL AWESOME
I know women who always travel with a cocktail dress, even if they have no plans for a nice dinner or glam party. They want to be prepared for any invitation. Same idea here – you never know who you’ll meet or what you’ll be invited to, so it’s always a good idea to bring a versatile bustier or a favorite bra that gives you jaw-dropping cleavage just in case.

Are you going on spring break? Let us know where you’re going and what lingerie you’re bringing!
