In a luncheon to honor Colorado’s female entrepreneurs, Alicia Vargo, the CEO and founder of Pampered Passions Fine Lingerie, was named Colorado’s First Leading Lady. The award was presented by the Colorado chapter of Ladies Who Launch, an organization that helps and inspires women to find success in launching and managing their entrepreneurial endeavors.
Vargo won the award because of her commitment to helping women, particularly breast cancer survivors, feel good about themselves, inside and out. Pampered Passions Fine Lingerie has 5 Post Mastectomy Specialists on staff to ensure every woman successfully finds a proper fitting bra and fine lingerie that makes her feel good about herself. Pampered Passions Fine Lingerie is well known for sewing pockets into almost anything in the store, “This way, breast cancer survivors can wear virtually anything in the store,” says Vargo. Having an In-House Tailor who understands both Breast Cancer Survivors and Bridal needs makes it easy to custom fit anyone.

“It’s going to take some time getting used to being called Colorado’s Leading Lady, an honor that I am very much honored and humbled by,” says Vargo. “I plan to continue to help women find bras and lingerie that fit their styles and their bodies without judgment, just as Ladies Who Launch helps women find success in business no matter what.”
Ricki Booker, the Colorado leader for Ladies Who Launch and mastermind behind the Colorado Leading Ladies Awards, says, “Alicia’s dedication to helping women, particularly women in her community, is what drew the judges to choose her as Colorado’s first Leading Lady. There were more than 150 women who applied for this honor – making Vargo’s win even more impressive.”
Vargo was honored at a luncheon on November 5, 2009 at The Curtis Hotel in Denver. The ceremony was MC’d by 9News reporter, TaRhonda Thomas. More info on the place charity takes in Pampered Passion’s business, check out their corporate care page; it’s well worth a visit!
