TLP has highlighted the brand Ambra before (here and here). This article will provide more information about the brand. The Italian brand Ambra takes the name from fossilized amber. In 1962, Giuseppe and Margherita Toppino founded the company. Originally, they produced corsets for other companies. By the 1980s, the company started producing for themselves. Today, the sons of the Toppinos are part of Ambra Corsetteria.
This is a proud Italian company. The company is in the town of Alba. Alba has other manufacturing, but is better known for the Barolo wine and the world famous white truffle that comes from the region. All phases of production are handled in the factory in Alba. The company believes that this level of control ensures the quality of the handmade product. From sketch to sample to production and sale, it is all handled in Alba and carries the “Made in Italy” label proudly. The company believes, in the era of globalisation, where production plants are located abroad and the competition of low-cost non-European producers is getting serious what makes an AMBRA product stand-out is being handmade in Alba.

I have stocked Ambra in my little boutique for two seasons and I have been so impressed with the quality of the lingerie. It is so beautifully made and knocks spots off brands like La Perla. Ambra not only design and produce beautiful pieces they pack it with such care you can see the love and effort that goes into it. I highly recommend it. It flys out of the door so quickly I never even get time to put in on my website!
