Sophisticated Loungewear by Erin Braxton

March 11, 2009 by Kelly

I have to admit I’m not usually one to get very excited about loungewear. I like looking pretty at home and I like to feel good, but I don’t generally spend hours poring over pictures of loungewear like I do with corsets, stockings, or bra sets. So it came as a surprise to me when I first took a look at the Erin Braxton brand, and found myself giddy at every piece. I was practically drooling at my desk!

The piece that really caught my attention was the Ribbon Tee. It looks like a plain old tee from the front, but the back has corset lacing in a luxurious silk gold ribbon.

Since a regular bra can’t be worn with it, it has a lightweight double-layer shelf bra for extra coverage on the front. The T Neck Tee has a similar feel – it looks like a conservative turtleneck from the front, but when you turn around, you reveal a daring back slit.

Most of the rest of the pieces are a bit more simple, but beautifully done. It’s the little details that really make the big impact in Erin Braxton styles, and the designs have obviously been meticulously worked on down to the very last detail. The V Tunic’s trim is refreshingly feminine without relying on standard ruffles. The Kimono Robe’s sleeves are full, but the slit reveals skin as you walk. The Basic Tanks seem like any old tank at first sight, but when you look closer you realize that the neckline is cut deep and the thin straps are boldly flirtatious. The Baby V Tee looks sweet and innocent at first glance, but the plunging neckline reveals enough to encourage less-than-innocent thoughts!

I was so thrilled to see you feature this line that I have known about for months. I LIVE in these pieces. They are ultra comfy, sexy and versatile. I have actually worn the wrap robe out on a date – and I received a number of compliments.
Thanks for keeping us lingerie lovers on the cutting edge of what is truly HOT and FABULOUS!

Nikki – Erin Braxton herself says she wears her wrap robe out all the time, so you’re in good company! She even wore it when she was on Deal or Not Deal – we’ll be posting the video soon 🙂
