I have read a couple brief notes recently about the Fall/Winter 2009 collection by Soleil Sucré Lingerie. Since I have not been able to find pictures yet, I decided to show you the Summer 2008 pieces, which I found to be extraordinary.
My initial description of the collection is “structured elegance”. Everything is neat, tidy and asymmetrical but at the same time eye-catching, stunning and dainty. Unique fabric covered buttons on the panties and bras, wide ruffled lace straps on the camisoles, provocative red ribbon running through white lace on the bustiers, and delicate eyelet designs on the bras.
On the business side, Soleil Sucré owns about one hundred boutiques, mainly in France. But they will see a major expansion for the end of 2008 and throughout 2009 with new stores being built in Spain, the UK, Portugal and Germany. Plans are in process to locate space in major shopping malls in Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia. Apparently some analysts worried about the dominance of La Senza in Britain but Soleil Sucré believes that their lower price points will make them competitive.
My best friend just bought the franchise of SOLEIL SUCRE LINGERIE for Sydney. She will open her boutique for Xmas 2009 !
