Myla has a new spokesmodel lined up: Lydia Hearst! Lydia is the great-granddaughter of newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst and the daughter of Patty Hearst, who was snatched by the Symbionese Liberation Arms in 1974.
Lydia was crowned supermodel of the year at the 2007 “fashion Oscars,” the Michael awards, and has has been photographed by Mario Testino and Terry Richardson. She will front the new autumn/winter collection of 1940s-inspired lingerie, due in shops on Monday.
Franceska Luther, the creative director of Myla, said that the 23 year old model is expected to bring “intelligent sexuality” to the new range.
“We were delighted when the opportunity arose to work with Lydia. She has an amazing dynamic energy. She perfectly represents the Myla women.”
