In this series, TLP will narrow our coverage of lingerie around the globe and focus on the country of Poland. Poland has a long history of textile manufacturing and since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Poland has been embracing market economies. Freed from quotas and mandated manufacturing, many Polish textile companies are stepping on to the world stage.
Miran is a lingerie company started by Miroslawa Antkiewicz in 1994. The firm specializes in slips, night dresses, chemises, robes, and babydolls made of satin and micro modal. The corporate site is available in English, Polish, and Russian. The company creates one collection per year with many styles in each collection. I’ve found this brand to be rather approachable with a good sense of history and style.
Shopping Polish is available from the company store at http://bielizna.miran.com.pl/. Sizing runs from S to XL. Pricing runs from around 30 US to 85 US (95 to 180 zt).
