In this series, TLP will narrow our coverage of lingerie around the globe and focus on the country of Poland. Poland has a long history of textile manufacturing and since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Poland has been embracing market economies. Freed from quotas and mandated manufacturing, many Polish textile companies are stepping on to the world stage.
Dama Kier traces their origins to 1987. They are one of the smaller shops we have profiled in this series. The site is available in Polish only. They have three years of collections on line. The signature of D-K is the use of lace in a full cup bra and matching brief. I like these pieces. They remind me of Aubade, but Aubade always has fantastic basques along with bras and several options for briefs. I don’t think D-K has any basques and I don’t see many strings, tangas, or other choices besides the full brief. D-K also makes swimwear. Olive in Poland carries the brand for shopping online. Prices range from 65-85 zt for the bras and 25-35 zt for the briefs (About US 36 for expensive bras and UK 18 for the same.)
