In this series, TLP will narrow our coverage of lingerie around the globe and focus on the country of Poland. Poland has a long history of textile manufacturing and since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Poland has been embracing market economies. Freed from quotas and mandated manufacturing, many Polish textile companies are stepping on to the world stage.
Chimera is a Polish manufacturer offering two collections, Basic and Sexy. The company has been in business since 1998. The corporate web site is available only in Polish. It doesn’t look like they have a branded retail presence, so this product is mainly sold through e-commerce or independent retailers.
The company store is set up for Polish, Euro, UK, or US currencies at http://www.chimeraboutique.eu/. Pricing in the Sexy line is ~100 zt for basques, ~50 zt for bras, and ~30 zt for knickers (~50, 25, 15 US and ~25, 13, 8 UK). The Basics line runs to about 95D while the Sexy line stays more median and generally runs to 85C. This year’s collection is mostly dark colours and is similar to some of the offerings from Felina USA.
