With the recent release of their soft and elegant Spring Summer 2008 Collection (and us having a preview of their FW0809!), Lejaby, the French lingerie producer, has been sold to Palmers, the Austrian luxury lingerie maker. US parent company, The Warnaco Group Inc announced that the acquisition by Palmers Textil AG would conclude during the first quarter of 2008. Warnaco had made previous statements in late 2007 concerning the realignment of their holdings in order to divest of all owned manufacturing. To maintain continuity, Lejaby will remain in Lyon, France under the direction of Palmers, which is based near Vienna, Austria.
Having released their own Spring Summer 2008 Collection, which included brands such as Zebra by Palmers Paradise, Cashmere Love by Palmers Selezione and Ellie by Palmers, Palmers plans to continue with the Lejaby lines of Nuage, Envies, Rasurel and Elixir while at the same time move forward with their existing lines. Combining the two companies’ brands will heighten awareness from the expanded sales channels and jettison Palmers into the top three of European lingerie companies.
Thanks that is interesting. Hopefully they won’t mess around too much with a good thing.
We just got the new Violette Coquette in and it is so pretty. Perfect for people who love purple.
