New online boutique Madame Gigi’s tries takes a fresh approach to buying exclusive lingerie online. The ethos at the centre of the boutique is modern, flirty and fashion-led. To quote Gillian Hegney, Madame Gigi’s owner: “We’re not about women buying sexy undies to impress their men, but women buying lingerie to make themselves feel great – perhaps giving yourself a little treat or spoiling yourself with an affordable luxury. And trust us…the men will be impressed into the bargain.”
From the ultra feminine designs of Fleur T via coveted catwalk lingerie label Yes Master, Madame Gigi’s is set to find its way into the heart of any lingerie-loving girl. Madame Gigi’s is also pleased to announce that it will be the sole UK stockist of Le Trousseau de Margaux, a Parisian design duo who have perfected exquisite French lingerie without the frou frou.
“Because we know how exciting it is to receive a beautiful ribboned parcel, every order from Madame Gigi’s comes gift boxed – tissue, ribbon, the works. All orders can also contain personalized messages. There is also the facility to drop a little hint to your loved one (or generous friend) via an email from Madame Gigi, drawing their attention to your desired lingerie…the perfect way to make sure you’re not disappointed come birthdays, Christmas or Valentine’s Day.”
Madame Gigi’s is the creation of Gillian Hegney, whose pre-Gigi life included working at WGSN, the world’s leading online fashion industry news and information service, after graduating from the prestigious London College of Fashion. Gillian’s fashion experience coupled with a love of lingerie prompted her to launch Madame Gigi’s in order to fill a gap for highly fashionable, modern, designer lingerie brought together in one place. As she explains, “Sometimes beautiful lingerie can have a dated feel to it. I wanted to create an online boutique that offered a fresh, genuinely modern take on lingerie – not clichéd, far more flirty than overtly sexual, and above all, fun and ever-so frivolous!”.
The store is about quality, not quantity, and I do believe the stocklist to be somewhat too limited. But: we wish Gillian all the best, seeing as the brands she’s selected up until today look very exciting!
that blue set is magnificent!
