The lingerie world certainly revs up in October for Breast Cancer Awareness month. There’s no question why – lingerie celebrates femininity and bras are especially close to the cause (literally and figuratively).
To join the fight against breast cancer and pamper yourself at the same time, check out what all of these lingerie companies are doing to help: Figleaves, along with the popular lingerie brands for sale on the site, is donating a portion of the profits from certain pink lingerie items to charity. Throughout October, they will be jointly giving between 10% and 30% of sales on certain products to Living Beyond Breast Cancer, a nonprofit organization devoted to helping women fighting breast cancer. For a list of eligible items, click here if you live in the US and here in the UK. Be sure to check out our sale section to get a coupon code for free deliveries and returns!
Through December 1, 2007, Pfiff Lingerie will donate a portion of the proceeds from its “Moments of Seduction†line in the Twilight Bush color (like the set in our contest that just ended) to The American Breast Cancer Foundation. The line includes a wireless bralette, push-up balconette, lined full coverage bra, and more. You can purchase these items at lingerie boutiques and Star Boudoir.
Bare Necessities will donate $2 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure for every Wacoal bra purchased from now until October 15, 2007.
I’ll let you guys know about more breast cancer donation programs as I get wind of them. In the meantime, go buy yourself something pretty in pink, support the organizations devoted to this disease, and be sure to stay healthy and aware of your own body. I won’t stand to hear of any TLP fans suffering from breast cancer!
What does a portion of proceeds mean?
Why are they not specifying the amount? Is this just a PR ploy to increase sales. Ive bought this product and it did not last. Very cheap fabric and materials. Would not recommend.
