I don’t know why, but lately I have become a huge fan of neon lingerie. I already had been searching around for some special pieces, and when I found the Deborah Marquit line a couple weeks ago, it just fueled the fire. 😉 It just makes your whole day better to put on something so bright! I have become especially fond of layering and pairing fluorescent colors with blacks and dark browns. Apparently, I’m not the only one, because luckily I have been seeing these electric colors everywhere lately! For anyone else hoping to jump on the bandwagon, I found a few very fun pieces:
This sweet fluorescent blue camisole and boyshort set are from Frederick’s of Hollywood. This is quite a cute alternative to loungewear, or I could see it with the cami peeking out of a top while going out at night.
Here is another pretty garter belt you can find at PureDecadence. Pink and green is usually a preppy color combination, and can sometimes look a bit twee, but it gets a little attitude in neon! (This one thanks to Shammy, a forum member)
This garter belt from Sock Dreams looks very similar, but at $13 it’s only half the price! This is a particularly good deal for our US readers, because you save again by not paying international shipping! (They also have the matching hot pink fishnets available, for anyone who is decidedly not bashful)
I have to confess that the reason I like these high-waisted neon yellow hotpants from American Apparel is because they remind me so much of ridiculous 80s fashion. Who can’t love that?
I never, ever pictured myself actually recommending something from Hot Topic. I’m not an angsty teenage goth, after all! But I managed to track down this electric blue bustier and even though it’s definitely a simple design I still kind of like it. Being from Hot Topic, I’m sure it’s not the best quality, but for $19.99 it could be worth it just for fun. Hot pink is also available.
Last but not least, This hot pink babydoll from the ever-popular Victoria’s Secret is discounted as part of their semi-annual sale!
Of course, I can’t guarantee that these will all glow as well under a blacklight as the Deborah Marquit pieces, but that just means you’ll have to spend less time getting ready and more time enjoying these energetic colors!
those are ridiculously sexy! I love the Frederick’s one the most 🙂
How about Glow In The Dark Bra Straps?
