Lace makers in Poland who used to make lace pieces used in churches for Pope John Paul II and the Queen of England have found a new calling – hand making G-strings! After 200 years in their traditional line of work, the artisans of Koniakow decided to shift production to lingerie because underwear is quicker to make and easier to sell.
The people in the Catholic village are slow to accept the new market, but KONI-Art Lingerie is quickly becoming a hit with tourists and customers around the world by offering beautiful, handmade bras, panties, camisoles, and beachwear. Some of the items kind of remind me of pot holders, but many of them (like these pictured items) manage to pull it off and the lacey patterns look sweet in vibrant colors!
