Earlier this week, both Hello Magazine and Blogleaves reported on the new swimwear/beachwear collection by 37-year-old curvy model Rachel Hunter, quite the tv personality in the United States.
Rachel Hunter, born in New Zealand herself, will be giving the people down under (New Zealand and Australia) the chance to get their hands on her first beachwear collection early in July. Hello Magazine writes:
“The catwalk star was in her New Zealand homeland to present her new Lola line, which combines catwalk couture with beach culture. The collection, which features glamorous swimsuits and bikinis in colorful print designs and flattering cuts, looks set to help the leggy beauty make the transition from model to successful businesswoman, like her fashion industry peers Elle Macpherson and Caprice. “
Feel free to make up your own mind, but I’m not too excited about the photo’s (except for the black one-piece with the large white prints, maybe). If she really wants to do what Elle has done, she’s going to have to step up and make something seriously pretty. Isn’t that what first collections are all about: dropping jaws?
Anyway, I’m not going to judge the whole Lola collection on a few photo’s… Count on us reporting back in july or august ;-)!
Urgent private post to Rachel hunter.
Hi there Rachel, Robbie van der Kleij here. I’m just hoping that you recall see me and Stephenie Malloy on Milford beach those many years ago. you showed Stephenie the photo shoot card that you got when you got your very first photo shoot offer. you asked us if you should go to the appointment, and I said that if you did decide to go you should relise that you’d probably become an ambassador for New Zealand.
Well good on you the rest is as they say history ayE.
I’m writing to you now because I was on Trade me today and as I was browsing around and found that Pakatoa Island is up for grabs at 40 million NZ $’s just off Waiheke Island and as you doing swim wear line thought it would suit your bussiness to a tee … LOL the link above is to the TradeMe post.
hugs from Robbie p.s. I think Stephenie Malloy is working in micro biology some where in the states now but haven’t contacted her for some time.
