Even more than in 2009, the 2010 collection has some of the most detailed patterns I’ve seen on hosiery from a mainstream label. Floral details, geometric labyrinths and jaw-dropping baroque-style patterns catch the eye as soon as you see these photos – and make these tights and stay-ups even more of a fashion statement.

Wolford has a fifty plus year history. Wolford was one of the first to market the hold-up. This fall, Wolford is offering several hosiery illusions.

The Alcazar Tights are a clever illusion. The seam is on the side, the stay-up effect is an optical illusion and the fishnet on the leg is not real, but they look smashing for £34.00. On the right, the Bracelet Tights have a chain look along the leg and around the waist for £25.00.

Don’t you just love the attention to detail in these pieces? I’m not the biggest fan of the laced top Hold-ups, but those overknees are so cute I could just eat ‘m! Pretty bows, perfect eye-catching height and sure jaw-droppers at any party (or even at work for those who dare!). Prices aren’t cheap — about $40 a pair.

An absolutely gorgeous collection if you ask me. I would never guess this was a South-American brand, by the way. The pieces look extremely European — and I mean that in the most positive way possible. Like I said — more is on the Amor Latino website.

This collection seems true to the nature of the Frederick’s label. From the 60′s; Fredericks was one of the first to glamorize and “sexualize” lingerie — and they’re still on a quest to do so today!

My fixation started with these nude and red Jonathan Aston stockings. I got a pair a few months ago, and have been desperately waiting for the fall to come so I can find an occasion to wear them out!

These stark backseams also have the great bonus of making your legs appear longer and leaner – so show them off! It is, however, a bit difficult to find a wide variety of colors. My dream would be to have a stocking wardrobe full of pairs similar to the Jonathan Aston ones, but in several different colors like purple or blue! If I ever find them, of course The Lingerie Post readers will be the first to know. And if you find some, please let us know in the forums!
