My favorite part of the tights is the waistband. In true Commando form, the wide, laser-cut waistband lies flat against your body leaving no lines under your most snugly fitting dresses eliminating those unsightly bulges that typical, elastic band tights leave. The tights themselves are soft, smooth, and sleek.  To add a little pizzazz, the waistbands of the black and brown tights are not only available in solids, but in paisley as well.  My wish is that the hosiery will be so successful that they branch out into patterns, textures, and more.

When I put the bra on, I noticed right away that it is very comfortable – there are no itchy seams or pinchy bits. There are tags on the band, but they are long and silky, so I didn’t even don’t even notice them. I actually was thinking that the bra was tagless until I specifically checked! I was very pleasantly surprised to see that that the Bendon Sport bra gave a very natural and seamless silhouette. It shaped my chest more like an everyday T-shirt bra than than a lumpy, unattractive sports bra. I know that the gym isn’t a fashion runway, but it was still nice to know that my assets looked their best! I went to the gym with my boyfriend that day, and even he commented on the difference and improvement my new bra made in my appearance. The fabric was light and quite breathable, so I was comfortable throughout my workout. Another happy surprise was when I found that the straps are convertible, so I had the option to wear them normally or to crisscross them – perfect for wearing underneath racerback workout tanks! It actually wouldn’t be so bad if the straps were to poke out a bit, however, as they are relatively slim (compared to some other fuller-figure sports bras) even though they were comfortably cushioned.

The only disappointing thing about the bra is that it doesn’t come in my size. I wear a 30 band, but Bendon Sport’s size range begins at 32. I was optimistic when the bra came in a size 32, and wore it on the tightest hooks. But the Extreme Out bra seems to run true to size, and was just too big for me. I was comfortable in my yoga and Pilates classes, but an incorrect bra size is very apparent when you want to run on the treadmill! You guys know that I’m very particular about wearing well-fitting bras, so I will sadly have to retire mine. Don’t let that deter you, though – if you are within the size range of the Bendon Sport bras, I think they will work wonderfully for you. The sports bra is very high-quality, and has a sturdy three-row, three-column band to anchor firmly to you. I was also glad to see that the cups had comfortable foam-covered underwires for extra support, and busty ladies know how critical support is!

When the Evlove e-mail newsletter declared, “You’ll want to sleep in them, lounge in them, run errands in them…you’ll want to live in them,” I will admit that I was a bit skeptical. Truth be told, I’m usually hanging around my house at night without any pants at all, for comfort’s sake. I don’t own much loungewear because I thought that nothing could possibly be more comfortable than wearing nothing at all. But I was dead wrong.

Surprisingly, I am delighted to report that they work! At the recommendation of Bring It Up, I tried the Plus Size breast lifts since I have more to, ahem, lift up. The product does just what it’s supposed to – it supported me from the top, which is a unique but effective design. I was concerned that this uncommon top-support wouldn’t be very secure, but my boobs didn’t move nearly as much as I thought they would. It was difficult to get used to the feeling, but after a couple minutes I was comfortable and impressed. I wore the transparent Bring It Up Breast Lifts for hours that night without a problem. The only thing I was less than thrilled about was that there is no nipple coverage, so I still had “headlights” sometimes. Although I didn’t try it, I’m sure that problem could be remedied by wearing separate nipple covers. I just think it would look a bit odd! Bring It Up’s Breast Lifts can’t replace your bra for everyday, but they are a great for a night out and can even be worn with a strapless bra for a little extra support on special occasions!

I was surprised when the sizing chart put me squarely in a size larger than I usually wear. I went ahead and asked for the recommended size, but they did seem to run pretty large and I should have sized down. So if you’re in doubt or on the edge of sizes, try ordering a size smaller than chart recommends. When I first took them out of the package, I was concerned that the elastic was too easily seen though the lace and would ruin the look. As soon as I put them, however, on the elastic was invisible so I looked great! It worked, too – they didn’t slip or slide down all night. One thigh-high in each pair has a small pocket in the scalloped lace to hold personal items. It is the perfect size for my credit card and a key, so I can go out for a short night without carrying a purse full of things I don’t really need.

Love Jones is a perfect fit inside the Hard Rock with its rocker chic atmosphere. The walls are painted a bright orange with hot pink clubs, spades, diamonds, and hearts adorning them. I recently tried the Pure Style Girlfriends Pick-Me-Up Breast Lift-Up Tape. After trying numerous products like this before (with little success), I was interested to see how this brand would work for me. In the past, I had tried adhesive bra cups that taped from the bottom, which left a natural shape to still be desired. So I tried the kind that taped from the top. And still, I was not quite impressed with the shape or lift. So I was curious as to how Pure Style Girlfriends would be different. The first thing I noticed that was different was the Patent Pending tape. Rather than forming cups just below or just above the breast, the tape is designed to lift from underneath. I believe it is this vertical lift that sets this product a part from the rest. I was able to have both lift and shape. While the product is ideally suited for A-D cups, I was suprised at the success I experienced with the product. Additionally, I was impressed with the Pure Style website as it features a quick clip of how to use the tape.

As soon as the package arrived at my door, I raced to try on my new garter belt. I looked in the mirror, and was relieved and pleased to find that it didn’t feel big or utilitarian at all! I felt very glamorous and classic (and secretly, I decided that it looks even better on me than it does on the model). I wore it out the very next night with Secrets in Lace’s Signature RHT (reinforced heel and toe) nylon stockings. I was thrilled to find that the both the stockings and garter belt stood up to a full night of walking, sitting, and climbing on a bar’s arcade games (as glamorous as I felt, the kid in me still found it impossible to resist those games!). I was absolutely comfortable all night, and not once did I worry about anything slipping or being out of place. The garter belt has a five secure hook and eye closures, and three columns for adjustment (like your bras). The metal garter grips didn’t move a bit once I secured them, and were a snap to adjust. I loved the little details worked into this supportive garter belt, like the hold-down threads that keep the ribbons in place. Honestly, I cannot think of one thing I disliked about my Dominique garter belt! In fact, as soon as I’m done writing this article I’m going to order the Intrigue, which is made from the same pattern. I can’t have only one of these in my wardrobe!

I fell just as hard for the stockings I wore with the belt. The vintage-style 100% nylon stockings are silky smooth, sheer, and made my legs look amazing! The ones I wore were the Secrets In Lace Signature RHT stockings, which are produced on a circular loom (so there is no backseam). If you want even more retro glamour, you can try their fully fashioned stockings, which I discussed in a previous article. One consideration when wearing nylon stockings is to realize that there is no lycra or spandex. Nailing down your fit may be a bit trickier because of this, and sometimes a long night may cause the stockings to fit differently around the knees and ankles over the hours. But really, experimentation is half the fun and you gain so much from nylon’s sheerness. I kept stealing glances in mirrors all night and smoothing my skirt more than I had to, just so I could touch my stockings again!

I’ll admit that I was a little skeptical of the cell phone garter, but I loved it! The garter has a pocket for a cell phone and lipstick (the essentials!), and a credit card or ID fits perfectly next to the phone. I took it for a test run last night when I went to a bar with friends, and I couldn’t believe how much I liked not having a purse chained to me all night. My only suggestion is to realize that you can’t wear this with super form-fitting clothing, because there will be a bulge. I wore it with a pencil skirt and no one was the wiser. I did have to adjust it sometimes after dancing, but it was definitely less bother than keeping track of a purse all night long. I have also found the cell phone garter to be great for holding my iPod! When I put on a slip but still want to listen to music while I get ready for the day or for bed, this works perfectly!

I also tried the Fuchsia Night Camisole, but it isn’t meant for larger cup sizes. I am very sad that I had to send it back, though, because it really was gorgeous and sexy! It looks so delicate, but the great thing about it is a unique underbust design that gives gentle support. The wide variety of styles is refreshing; while some could be candidates for our “Trashy, Slutty…. Yet interesting!” forum topic, there are just as many pieces that are classy and pretty – so you can be naughty when you wanna be and nice when you wanna be! You will have no trouble finding charmuese and lace bridal babydolls, shirred bustiers, lace-up open-cup chemises, camigarters with cherry prints, leopard print babydolls, leather bustiers, and fishnets that make it look like you have ankle tattoos – all on one site! I recently received my package from YumDrop, and was even more pleased than I thought I would be. I ordered the Star Studded Panty, a pair of boyshorts with lace-up sides and “Sexy” silk-screened on the back. My favorite, however, is the Pink Mesh and Lace Cami set. I am a larger cup size, so usually I shy away from anything with underbust seams because they never hit me correctly. I had to take a shot with this set, however, because it looked so good – and I’m glad I did! I was pleasantly surprised to see that the straps are adjustable, so even ladies with larger cups can adjust the top to fit them well. And I absolutely love the design.
