Ophelia Fancy’s Ello Tiger Limited Edition

A limited leopard print edition just went live on the Ophelia Fancy site, good enough a reason for us to be able to mention the lovely Brighton-based label by Stevi Jelbart and Emma Sandham-King again.

Simone Wale works from her studio in Australia hand crafting these sassy pieces. All of her collections have an old world burlesque feel like the high wasited knickers with corsetry style lace up panels. The pieces aren’t just rooted in the past, Simone also loves to tease and is quite fond of color coordinated pasties, full fashioned hosiery, and her “more than a date girdle”. Burlesque Workshops at What Katie Did

London boutique What Katie Did is teaming up with burlesque costumier Ruby Rouge to offer burlesque costuming workshops! Anyone in the London area (or anyone willing to travel!) can make reservations for classes on how to craft her own pasties/nipple tassels or fascinators (burlesque/cocktail hats). I’m not usually a personal fan of the red and white lingerie that pops up everywhere around in December. I understand that Santa Claus is a beloved holiday icon, but I have no desire to put on lingerie that would remind anyone of an old fat man! That is why I was very surprised to see a red and white holiday collection I actually like. The Modern Courtesan has released its holiday collection “Baby it’s Cold Outside,” which is nothing less than sexy. It is festive without reminding anyone of an old, overweight man. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the collection shares a name with one of my favorite holiday songs!

I was talking about nipple tassels with my friend Jill yesterday, and she told me she didn’t like most nipple tassels because they just didn’t look glamorous enough. I wasn’t able to convince her at the spot so I promised to e-mail her some photo’s that would make her change her mind. Well, I think I found the perfect set!

Pastease Pasties

Brands that have alliterations in their name deserve a special feature on The Lingerie Post, don’t they? Well, if they’re as sexy as the Pastease Pasties we’re glad to agree . Pastease are even more nude than microwear: they stick to your boobs covering your nipples when you want to go out wearing nothing… but something!

Not all of these Pastease pasties are equally elegant. Where the Rockstar pasties and Sweeties are very burlesque and not at all tacky, the likes of these Trucker girls are the exact opposite.

Take a look on their site! They’ve got hundreds of different styles and colors, and they’re all really cheap. Too bad global shipping is $7.00, which kind of doubles to cost to try them out of me… I’m still considering (depending on my decision, expect more news soon!)

Dita Von Teese Lipteese at the Antwerp zoo

Antwerp had a special visitor last week when the beautiful burlesque queen Dita Von Teese did her Lipteese show at the Antwerp Zoo (she does her magic in a 6 feet tall lipstick, it’s quite enchanting! Well, the whole of Belgium knew about her visit as the media jumped on it like hungry dogs.
