Working with high quality silks, cottons and lace we design and make nighties that are contemporary but influenced by old-fashioned glamour. All of our nighties are made in England using traditional artisan techniques that cannot easily be replicated in mass produced garments. All the lace used in our garments are made by a traditional lace making company in Derbyshire and our silks are bespokely dyed in England.

On the left, the Flora is a backless nightie retailing for £120.00. ‘There is something so lovely about exposing your back, sexy but not obviously so.’ This is 100% silk. On the right, this smock nightie is the Chrysanthis and is available for £65.00. It is made from opaque cotton voile.

On the left is the lace trimmed nightie, Helena, for £130.00. ‘Wearing this beautiful nightie will definitely bring out the screen goddess in you.’. This is bias cut silk crepe with levers lace.. On the right is the Elara for £95.00. ‘Men must like seeing women’s legs as every man we know always asks if our collection includes a baby doll.’ This has a fitted bodice and long ties in the back.

Child-like and feminine are the Romantic Jersey Nightdress and Baby Beach Dress. Pure white fabrics for a hot summer night in pretty voile and Lycra jersey with lace pockets and hems show the dainty and fanciful side of Pluto sleepwear. Sweet fuschia coloured polka dots on white cotton with spaghetti straps and fuschia satin ribbon intertwined to highlight the v-neck are features of another dreamy summer nightgown.

In addition to Pluto’s newest summer collection, their basic lines are available as well. Basic would not be a good choice of terminology, however, to describe these lovely pieces that exude timeless elegance. Both PinkCamellia.com and NancyMeyer.com have large selections of the luxuriously, rich garments. Long fleece robes, flannel nightshirts, jacquard pyjamas, and cotton gowns make fashion statements of the garments even while sleeping.

The short ribbed nightdress, with lace edgings under the arms, along the hem and above the neckline, is fitted to look elegant with matching robe in pretty white, turquoise or lilac. A cool cotton pyjama set in sleeveless top with ruffles along the hem and bow at the back of the waist couples with the cropped pants in turquoise and white stripes.

Pluto may have been dropped, to some, from the list of planets but Pluto Lingerie is not ready to become archived yet. Their collections have endured since 1976 and individual pieces are sold throughout the world at high-end boutiques and quality online retailers.

Jessica Clatworthy is the young UK designer behind Jessie-Lou. Recently, Jessica released Something Blue. The collection takes inspiration from Marie Antoinette. Jessica went to The Museum of Costume at Bath and The Wallace Collection in London for first hand research. Noting a gap in the market for exclusive bridal lingerie, Jessica crafted Something Blue combining 18th Century styling and bridal wear to produce a stunning mix-and-match collection of silk and lace lingerie, finished by hand with Swarovski crystals. Jessica is a product of the De Montfort school and even includes her hand sketches along with the finished product so you can witness both ends of the “from sketch to sale” process.

This bra is made from two kinds of gold Leavers lace. It includes an adjustable halter neck with small gold component fastening. Matching the bra, a frilly tie side thong has been designed, with the same lace frill to the back of the thong.

This corset is the star of the collection. Like many pieces in this collection, Jessica uses gold brocade piping between the boned seams, Leavers lace overlay, and a quilted hip panel. This piece may be worn as outwear for a wedding or just as lingerie.

This elegant nightdress has a loose fit for extra comfort with a hand made cover button opening at the centre back to slip on with ease. With adjustable rouleau straps, this piece is very accommodating and is perfect for the bride whilst getting ready for the big day.

Fleur’t is possibly best known for its super comfortable and super soft lulu’s boy pant! To accommodate the wide range of women who swear by this staple, lulu’s boy pant are now available in two new sizes – Petite/Small and Large/Large in addition to the already existing Small/Medium and Medium/Large! And the sizes aren’t the only new addition. Fleur’t has added an assortment of fun, eye-popping colors and cute, sassy patterns. I’m a fan of the solids papaya and pink lavender as the patterns lemongrass damask and rose giraffe! Also find these colors and patterns in the low-rise thong, lace v-thong, and g-string. The lulu collection, which in addition to the boy pant and low-rise thong, includes a bralet, criss-cross cami, lace strap cami, long cami, criss-cross chemise, and a new yoga pant! Mix and match them all for a cute and cozy look. The amber collection is a fleur’t favorite featuring pretty lace overlays. Again, the pieces in this group can be mixed and matched. In addition to the camis and chemise, the amber collection is noted for its delicate kimono robe. New to the amber collection are a lace bralet and matching ½ lace thong boy.

Spring/Summer 2008

The Spring/Summer collection is already in stores and will continue to appear in stores over the next few months. One new group for spring, valerie, features heathered rayon spandex in black and grey edged with ivory stretch cluny lace. Both the empire cami and chemise are marked by a very fleur’ty open front. The same stretch lace accents both the tunic and cropped ruffle pant.

I love the chantal group as it reflects a new trend in fleur’t lingerie – prints! Made of silk charmeuse and overlaid with lace, chantal is perfect for lounging or sleeping. In addition to hot pink and aqua, the lace bust cami and chemise and coordinating boxer short also is available in coral swirl or aqua swirl prints.

With spring comes an influx of weddings, so vanessa is perfect for the blushing bride. Choose from a lace front low-rise thong, lace bralet, and lace bust cami and chemise.

Speaking of prints (again), jessica is an all print group that evokes a youthful spirit! Pair the cami with the matching lace brief or long wide leg pant or the chemise with the lace v-thong. Prints include pink leopard, green floral, pink polka dot, and ivory polka dot!

If all of this wasn’t already enough, lulu has to make an impression on spring! Look for lulu in light, airy springy colors like white, sky, and pink! In April, lulu is available in pink, lemon, and seafoam before brightening things up in May with whimsical colors like fuchsia, papaya, and orchid. Perfect for the tropical vacation you will need around that time! After all that fun, it will be time for rest and relaxation. Muted colors like ivory, pink, and black are accented with a silvery shade called dove, reflecting the calm and serene onset of summer.

There are so many other exciting elements to the collection including more prints, more bright colors, and more styles. I love the low rise ruched back panty in the amy collection as I think the ruched looked is absolutely darling and flatters the female form. Additionally, it is edged with a sweet heart shaped elastic, which I am sure will make it popular with lots of ladies. I also like the agatha collection as it offers a new tunic dress for the client who wants a little more coverage. In the caroline collection, there are a range of styles with a variety of coverage options. Choose from the spaghetti strapped, lace bust cami and chemise or the lace tank and tank dress featuring wider straps for additional coverage.

Inspiration for the collection was drawn from the Victorian and Edwardian periods of British elegance, luxury fabric’s and lady like patterns. Made with luscious silk, lace, ribbon and diamante, the concept is sinfully portrayed through colour- deep chocolate silk with delicate mint or Raspberry trimmings presented to perfection.
