Kristin Davis, who plays the part of Charlotte York-Goldenblatt on Sex and the City, has announced that she will be designing a fall fashion line that with lingerie! Prices for the line (which will also include sleepwear, clothing, and accessories) will range from $38 to $240, and will only be sold at the US department store chain Belk. The aptly named “Kristin Davis” line will initially be offered in 125 Belk stores and online at Belk.com, with plans to expand to more locations in the spring. The style is said to be modern, feminine, and style-savvy. Kristin says the line evokes femininity and is designed for women who love all the facets of their life, and want the clothes to work for them no matter what role they are playing at the time. McKay Belk, president and chief merchandising officer at Belk, said,

“We’re thrilled with our association with Kristin Davis and look forward to unveiling this exciting new line for Belk customers this fall…Kristin is a great fit for Belk. She grew up shopping in our stores and is in tune with the fashion sensibility of our customer base. We think they’ll love the modern fashion looks of the Kristin Davis brand. It’s designed to capture Kristin’s look and personality and to provide cutting-edge fashion assortments that customers won’t find in any other store.”

Davis is scheduled to appear at select Belk stores this fall to promote her line. So stay on the lookout! It will be interesting to see how this intimates line differs from the Cosabella styles dedicated to her Sex and the City character!

Cosabella Sex and the City Lingerie Update

If you are like me and my girlfriends, you are eagerly awaiting May 30th – the premiere of Sex and the City: The Movie. Well, in April, prepare for a little taste of the movie through the Cosabella Sex and the City collection! As Kelly mentioned in a post back in December, each of the four collections is inspired by the unique styles and personalities of the girls. The collections are also reflective of the true Cosabella essence of comfort and color. At the Curve NY trade show, I was able to see the summer pieces up close and personal.

The “Carrie” collection is described as “whimsical and eclectic” and features a push up bra, bustier, and low rise thong in a black, floral print tulle. Of course, it wouldn’t be a “Carrie” look without the contrasting animal print trim! While the signature “Carrie” look is in Black Rose, the collection will also be available in Ivory Rose.

The “Samantha” collection is featured in juicy Passion Fruit and contains a spicy bra, low rise thong, and garter belt (of course!). Made with French Chantilly style lace with fine, micro-dot mesh, this collection is sure to please!

With contrasting Blue Violet and Sky Blue tulle and lace, the “Miranda” collection is chic and practical, just like the character. A molded bra, low rise hotpants, and a low rise thong are the signature items. Items will also be available in Magenta and Hot Pink.

And for the sweet and feminine, Charlotte, Cosabella has designed a camisole, long pant, and low rise thong made of soft modal and an eco-friendly bamboo fiber. The signature “Charlotte” collection will be featured in Ecru with Ecru accents, but also available in Black with Ecru accents.

Sex and the City Lingerie from Cosabella

It seems that every girl’s favorite show used to be Sex and the City. With a the movie release looming in 2008, the four friends are back on our minds. In an effort to be most like their favorite character, women around the world have been drinking cosmopolitans, indulging their hopeless romantic side, and buying expensive shoes. Now you can take it one step further! Cosabella provided some of the pretty lingerie that Carrie and Charlotte wore on the series (including their Soire thong), and has just recently announced a new deal to produce Sex and the City branded lingerie. The first of the two capsule collections will hit US stores next April (perhaps so everyone can get their set to wear to the premier?). The second will coincide with the DVD release.

Predictably, these collections will feature four groups based on the show’s characters – Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha, and Miranda. Guido Campello, vice president of marketing and innovation at Cosabella, says, “The concept is ‘What kind of woman are you?”

I’m predicting quirky and fun pieces for the Carrie line, sensible basics with tiny frills for Miranda, lots of pastels and lace for Charlotte, and fiery red or leopard print for Samantha. There are no pictures of the line available yet, but we’ll be sure to update you as soon as we see them!
