“Candy Floss”, TOUSHE’s inaugural collection on the UK market, represents femininity, vintage elements and delicate frills reminiscent of candy floss.

“The vintage styling and pastel colours of TOUSHE’s Candy Floss collection are in line with the current trends” says Jane Buckley, lingerie buyer for Topshop.

“This is what Topshop looks for” says Buckley.

The “Candy Floss” campaign shoot, conceptualised by designer Olivia Corbett, was shot amongst the cherry blossoms of Regent’s Park, London.

“The cherry blossoms reminded me of clouds of candy floss. I wanted to insinuate the softness of the theme without the use of actual candy floss. Our desire was to create a whimsical dreamy-mood, to convey thoughts of innocence and playfulness” Corbett says.

Using the finest silk georgette and produced in England, “Candy Floss” is priced affordably and targeted to young, fashion-savvy women who embrace fantasy.

The collection was launched at Topshop on 12th August. Fifi’s line isn’t competing with the bottom-basement prices, but it does take away much of the sting of her boutique prices. The collection includes a sleep (slip?) dress, babydoll, bras, thongs, garters, and bikinis. Prices range from £12-65. The sizing choices aren’t very broad, so Topshop may be waiting to see how the line does before expanding the offering.

Breaking News: Parisian lingerie label coming to Topshop. The one thing every fashion editor at ELLE does as they leave Paris Fashion Week is stock up on Fifi Chachnil lingerie before getting on the plane home. But now we don’t have to as on 20th July our favourite French lingerie will be on British high streets at Topshop. A 12 piece capsule collection, of 50s inspired pieces, including baby-doll slips and oh la la, suspenders, especially designed by Fifi Chachnil for Topshop will be in store and online.

Autumn/Winter 07 is Mimi’s most mature and sophisticated collection yet, in subtle colours, which designer Damaris Turtle says is ‘friendly to everyone’. However, as always each story includes that trademark edge, which sets the label apart from the rest. There’s a splash of vibrant coral silk, sophisticated black silk chiffon with black polka dot velvet flocking, ingenious thong and boy short designs, and a new ultra low cut bra in black lace. Each bra is available with a knicker, boy short and thong.
